Topic:
Develop of learning process: The students will be able to practice the unit's target
vocabulary, as well as begin to spell, define, and use the words in context.

Didactic proposal

Objective: The students will be able to compare pet's characteristics, talk about pet records and role-play a
conversation about them and compare unusual contests from around the world.
Pre-activity:
Use the Timed-Pair-Share strategy to open the class. Ask students to stand up and walk around the classroom. Tell
them to share any amazing or funny things their pets can do. When you say "pair," each student has to share with their
partner some funny or amazing things their pets can do. Give them two minutes to talk to their partner. When time is up,
say "time’s up" so ss can walk around again and look for another partner. You can have the last partner they talk to
become the partner they work with for the upcoming activity.(10 min)
Activity:
Ask students to look at the title and discuss if they know of any contests that take place in their country. Give students
time to read the text in pairs. Tell students that the last contest in the reading is not complete and they should do some
research on it.
Ask students to write a composition about the weird competition they researched.
Review the grammar concept in the Grammar Appendix or on the platform. Ask students to work with a partner to come
up with a funny sentence using the grammatical concept.(50min)

Post-Activity
Briefly review the activities the students have completed. (15min).
