Dear Customer,
Your new Bluetooth® bone conduction headphones
allow you to listen to music while staying in tune with the
surrounding sounds. These type of headphones are best suited
for athletes, drivers, cyclists and other outdoor activities,
where it is important to be aware or the surrounding sounds,
such as traffic. The headphones can also be used as a hands-
free system: You can use the headphones to accept
incoming calls, have a conversation and then end the call.

We hope you enjoy using your headphones.

Safety warnings
Read the safety warnings carefully. Only use the product
as described in these instructions to avoid accidental injury
or damage.
Keep these instructions for future reference. If you give this
product to another person, remember to also include these
instructions.
Intended use
The headphones are designed for audio output via Bluetooth®
for mobile playback devices such smartphones, tablets, laptops,
MP3 players etc.
The headphones are designed for household use and are
not suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use the product in moderate climatic conditions.
DANGER for children
• Children cannot identify the risks associated with improper
use of electrical devices. Therefore, keep the product
out of the reach of children.
• Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children.
It poses several risks, including the risk of suffocation!

DANGER due to electricity
• Do not make any modifications to the product. Only have repairs
on the product carried out by a specialist workshop or contact
the customer service. Improper repairs may lead to significant
danger for the user.
• Closing the cover ensures that the headphones are splashproof.
When charging the headphones, please note the following:
Do not place any containers filled with liquid, such as vases,
on or in the vicinity of the headphones. The container may
tip over and the liquid may impact the electrical safety.
There is a risk of electric shock.
• Do not replace or remove the rechargeable battery yourself.
Improper replacement of rechargeable batteries causes a risk
of explosion. Rechargeable batteries may only be replaced
with an identical or equivalent battery type. In case of a faulty
rechargeable battery, contact a specialist workshop or
customer service.
RISK of injury
• When using the headphones in traffic: Do not adjust any
settings on the headphones, so that you are not distracted.
There is a risk of accident!
Before using the headphones, enquire about any applicable

restrictions concerning the use of headphones in traffic
in your country.
WARNING – risk of burns/fire
• Do not place any sources of ignition, such as burning candles,
near the product. Candles and other open flames must always
be kept away from the product so as to prevent the spread
of fire.
• The product contains a lithium-polymer rechargeable battery.
This may not be disassembled, thrown into a fire or short-
circuited.
• Do not modify and/or deform/heat/disassemble
rechargeable batteries. Risk of explosion!
• The headphones get warm while being charged.
Do not cover them.
• Do not charge the headphones near explosive gases.
WARNING – damage to hearing
• Using the headphones at a high volume can lead to
loss of hearing. Set the volume to low before putting
on the headphones! Your hearing may suffer damage
if it is subjected to high volumes abruptly or for
extended periods.

CAUTION – material damage
• The headphones are protected against rain and splash water.
However, never immerse them in water or any other liquids.
Protect the headphones from high humidity, dust, intense
heat and direct sun.
• Never open or remove any part of the headphone casing
Do not insert any objects into the openings in the casing.
• Before switching on the headphones, use the connected
sound source to set the volume to no more than a moderate
listening level to avoid damage to the headphones as a result
of overloads and surges.
• Avoid direct contact with any magnetised ID cards, telephone
cards, credit cards and the like, as well as magnetic tapes,
watches etc., as these could be damaged by the magnets that
are built into the headphones.
• Do not use any caustic chemicals or aggressive or abrasive
cleaning products for cleaning. Use a soft, lint-free cloth.

Charging the battery
To avoid damage to the built-in rechargeable battery, it is
only half charged upon purchase. Fully charge the battery
before first use. Charge the battery in the headphones at a
computer or via the power supply using a mains adapter
(not included).
1. Make sure that the headphones are switched off
(see the chapter “Use”).
2. Open the cover .

The charging indicator light
will light up red.

A standard charging cycle for an empty rechargeable battery


takes approx. 1.5 hours. Once the battery is fully charged, the
charging indicator light lights up blue.

• Depending on the ambient conditions, volume etc.,
the music playback time is approx. 5-6 hours (at 60%
volume) and the standby time is approx. 10 days.
• To maintain full capacity of the rechargeable battery for
as long as possible, fully charge the headphones every
2 to 3 months, even if you do not use them.
• Charge the headphones at a temperature of +10 to +40 °C.
• The rechargeable battery will hold its charge best at room
temperature. The lower the ambient temperature, the shorter
the playback time.
• When the remaining capacity of the rechargeable battery
is approx. 20%, an beep will sound.
In this case, charge the headphones as soon as possible.
Standby mode
To avoid unnecessary power consumption, the headphones
switch off auto­matically if they do not receive an audio
signal for approx. 10 minutes.

Establishing Bluetooth® connection
Important information to know and take note of:
• S ome devices take longer to establish a connection;
this is not a sign of malfunction.
• A lways take note of the operating instructions for your
mobile device.
• It may be necessary to enter a password. If so, enter 0000.
Pairing headphones
1. Press and hold the button for approx. 5 seconds.
The headphones will sound “POWER ON”, followed soon
after by “ENTER PAIRING”. The indicator light will flash
alternately blue and red.
2. Activate the Bluetooth® function on your mobile device
(e.g. smartphone) and start the device search.
3. Select TCM633686 from the list and confirm, where appli-
cable. As soon as the connection has been successfully
established, the headphones will sound “CONNECTION
SUCCESSFUL”, followed by a short beep.
The indicator light will then flash blue in slow intervals.

Note:
If you switch off the headphones, they will automatically connect
to the previously paired device when switched on again,
provided it is nearby, switched on and Bluetooth® enabled.
Reset
Electromagnetic radiation near the device can lead to
malfunctioning. If the headphones do not connect, perform
a reset:
1. Remove the headphones from the area with electro­
magnetic radiation.
2. Switch off the headphones and then switch them on again.
Disconnecting the Bluetooth® connection
The headphones can be connected via B ­ luetooth® to two
devices at once. This means that you can listen to music using
an MP3 player and also answer incoming calls simultaneously.
1. Deactivate the Bluetooth® function on the first mobile device.
2. Connect the second mobile device as outlined above.
3. Activate the B
­ luetooth® function on the first mobile
device. Open the Bluetooth® menu with all connected/
not connected devices and select TCM633686 from the
list once again.

Use
The headphones can play back music in all common file
formats supported by your playback device. The headphones
also support the A2DP transmission standard. This standard
is supported by most popular devices and has been specially
developed for wireless transmission of stereo audio signals
via Bluetooth®.
You may have to activate A2DP transmission mode
manually on your mobile device. For this, read the
operating instructions for your mobile device.
Putting on the headphones

a way that they rest on the back
of your cheek, as indicated.
The headphones now have direct
contact with your head and the
bone behind your ears.
The sound emitted from the
headphones is now transmitted
into the inner ear via the bone
in the form of vibrations.

Should you wish to suppress or dampen
surrounding noises, we have also included
earplugs.
Switching on and off
Switching on
MM Press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds.
You will hear “POWER ON”, followed soon after by a
beep. The indicator light will flash blue. If the headphones
are still paired with a mobile device (e.g. smartphone), you
will also hear “CONNECTION SUCCESSFUL”.
Switching off
MM Press and hold the button for approx. 3 seconds.
You will hear “HEADSET IS DISCONNECTED - POWER OFF”.
Starting/stopping playback
Starting playback
MM Briefly press the button once. You will hear “PLAY”.

Stopping playback
MM Briefly press the button once during playback.
You will hear “PAUSE”.
Continuing playback
MM Again, briefly press the button once.
You will hear “PLAY”.
Selecting a track
Beginning of track/previous track
MM Press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds...
... within the first 3 seconds of the beginning of the track,
the headphones skip back to the previous track.
You will hear “LAST SONG”.
... a pprox. 3 seconds after the beginning of the track,
the headphones skip to the beginning of the track
(depending on the device). You will hear “LAST SONG”.
Next track
MM Press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds.
You will hear “NEXT SONG”.

Adjusting the volume
Increasing the volume
MM Press the button repeatedly at short intervals.
When maximum volume is reached, you will hear a
beep.
Decreasing volume
MM Press the button repeatedly at short intervals. When the
minimum volume is reached, you will hear a beep.
Adjusting the sound quality (Loudness)
At low volume, the human ear does not perceive basses
and trebles as well as the mid-ranges. This can be
­compensated for by using the Loudness function.
Switching on
MM Press and hold the and buttons simultaneously
for approx. 3 seconds. You will hear a short “ascending”
tone sequence.
Switching off
MM Press and hold the and buttons simultaneously
for approx. 3 seconds. You will hear a short “descending”
tone sequence.

Calls
You can make calls directly via the built-in microphone in
the control unit. Generally, it is not necessary to hold the
microphone in front of your mouth.
Taking a call
As soon as a call comes in, you will hear a continuous ringtone
and audio playback is interrupted. The indicator light flashes
blue every 5 seconds.
MM Answer an incoming call by...

The call is transmitted via the headphones.
You can speak freely via the built-in microphone.
... a nswering the call on your smartphone, as usual.
You can select on your smartphone whether you would
like to transmit the call via the headphones or rather
take private calls directly on your smartphone.
Ending a call
MM End a call by...

… ending the call on your smartphone, as usual.

Depending on the smartphone, audio playback either
resumes automatically or you have to start it again,
as described.
Rejecting a call
MM Reject an incoming call by holding down the button.
Number redial
MM Redial the most recently dialled number by briefly
pressing the button twice.
Mute mode
MM Hold down both the and buttons for approx. 3 seconds
to mute the microphone. You will hear a short beep.
MM Hold down both the and buttons again for approx.
3 seconds to unmute the microphone. You will hear another
short beep.
Google & Siri – controlling functions using the smartphone
(provided this function is supported by the smartphone)
T o enable voice input, certain settings on the smartphone
may be necessary. Also see the smartphone instructions
for this option.
MM To enable voice input, briefly press the button 3 times.

Problems/solutions
No sound.
• Volume set too softly?
• Bluetooth® connection OK? Where necessary, reconnect the
headphones to the mobile device to be paired (see chapter
“Establishing Bluetooth® connection”, paragraph “Pairing
headphones”).
• Rechargeable battery empty or low battery charge? Charge
the headphones (also see chapter “Charging the battery”).
Background noise in the headphones.
• Distance between the paired mobile device and the
headphones is too large.
No Bluetooth® connection.
• Is your mobile device Bluetooth®-enabled? Read the mobile
device operating instructions.
• Bluetooth® disabled in the mobile device? Check the settings.
Enable Bluetooth®, where necessary. Check whether the
headphones are included in the list of found devices. If not,
pair the devices again as described in the chapter “Establish-
ing Bluetooth® connection”, paragraph “Pairing headphones”.

Place the two devices close together. Remove any other
­devices using radio transmission from the area.
• Does your playback device require a password?
Check the settings.
Voice control does not work.
• These functions depend on the relevant smartphone
and selected settings. Refer to the instructions for your
smartphone.

Disposal
The product and its packaging have been manufactured
using valuable materials which can be recycled.
This reduces waste and protects the environment.
Dispose of the packaging at a recycling point that sorts
materials by type. Make use of the local facilities provided
for collecting paper, cardboard and lightweight packaging.
Devices marked with this symbol and flat
single-use/rechargeable batteries must not
be disposed of along with household waste!

Electrical devices, single-use batteries and recharge-


able batteries contain both valuable resources and
hazardous substances. Improper storage and disposal
can cause damage to the environment and health.
You are legally obliged to dispose of old devices separately
from household waste and to take flat single-use/recharge-
able batteries to a local authority collection point or return
them to a battery retailer.

Note! This device contains a rechargeable battery which
is permanently installed for safety reasons, and cannot be
removed without destroying the housing. Improper removal
poses a security risk. As a result, take the device to a collection
