INTRODUCTION

Every religion and belief system places a great deal of importance on

sacred writings since they act as a road map and compass for the way ahead.
Additionally, these religious books support everyone in valuing their religion
and upholding their convictions. The Qur'an, the Muslim religion's holy book, is
one of the sacred writings. Verse concerning prayer, moral instruction, and a
history lesson are all found in the 114 chapters that make up the Quran.

The holy book of Islam is the Qur'an, commonly known as the Koran. It
is believed to be the Word of God, given to the prophet Muhammad over a
span of 23 years in the early 7th century. Muslims can find much guidance in
the moral, ethical, and religious lessons of the Bible. Quran.

The Qur'an is considered the highest authority in Islam and is

considered a direct channel of revelation from Allah (God) to humanity. It is
recognized for its eloquence, elegance and insight and is written in classical
Arabic. The Quran is most revered and respected by Muslims around the
world, who consider it the most important work of literature.

The Qur'an addresses a variety of topics, including faith, worship, social

justice, family life, and personal growth. His words touch on many aspects of
the human condition and provide guidance on how to live an ethical and
productive life. It provides understanding of God's character, reasons for
creation, and the afterlife.

The chapters of the Qur'an, called surahs, are very long. Each surah
addresses a variety of topics and issues, providing Muslims with useful
guidance on how to live in accordance with Islamic teachings. Its teachings
emphasize the virtues of justice, love, compassion and humility. Muslims view
the Qur'an as a living book that still has meaning and guidance for people
today and not simply as a historical or religious text. The Qur'an has been
translated into many languages, making it accessible to everyone, regardless
of their language level.

Verses from the Qur'an are repeated in prayers, private reflections, and
on special occasions as a source of inspiration and knowledge. His historical
impact on literature, art and society is enormous and cannot be overstated.
LITERATURE REVIEW

The Holy Book of Islam started at Mount Hira over a period of twenty-
three years. After the death of the Prophet Muhammad, his successors
compiled these divine revelations in a manuscript. Like our Christian bible, our
lives is basically influence by the teachings embedded into it. It was believed
that the Qur’an enshrines the literal word of God and that it was revealed to
Prophet Muhammad by the Archangel Gabriel. With its unique composition
and style, the Qur’an was also considered the pre-eminent literary
masterpiece of the Arabic language and one of the earliest extant Arabic
literary sources.

The Qur’an contains prayers, moral guidance, historical narrative, and

promises of Paradise, it was the unique Word of Allah Almighty Who is the
only One Worthy of worship (Madinah, 2019). This belief was widespread in
the middle eastern countries where the foundation of the religion originated.
This sacred book served as the basis of its followers in behaving accordingly
to what the scripture is telling them. The purpose of the Books of Allah was
not only that they should be recited in sequence, but we should also act upon
the teachings they contain. Living accordingly to the teaching of the Holy Book
(Ringgren, 2023) the Qur’anic corpus, composed in an early form of Classical
Arabic, is believed to be a literal transcript of God’s speech and to constitute
the earthly reproduction of an uncreated and eternal heavenly original,
according to the general view referred to in the Qur’an itself as “the well-
preserved tablet”. The historical context of the emergence of Islam is the 7th
century C.E. Arabia. Prophet Muhammad was born in the oasis city of Mecca,
in the Arabian Peninsula.

The Qur’an contains basic information that is found in the Hebrew Bible
as well as the revelations that were given to Muhammad. The text is
considered the sacred word of God and supersedes any previous writings,
(Hamed, 2018). These revelations given to the Prophet serves as the bases of
Islam and its teachings to a peaceful and righteous life. Scholars believe the
Qur’an was compiled shortly after Muhammad’s death and that it remains the
foundation of the Islamic belief. How the teaching of the Qur’an affected its
followers is evident up to the present as it is still how Islamic states based
their laws and policies.
CONCLUSION

Muslims all across the world place a tremendous deal of value on the
Qur'an, which is the primary sacred scripture of Islam. Muslims hold that the
Quran is the divine message that the angel Gabriel sent to the Prophet
Muhammad. It is regarded as a clear, unadulterated communication from
Allah. It has a thorough theological philosophy and lays out for them the law
and commandments as well as guidelines for their social and moral conduct.

The Quran is a timeless manual for humanity, providing insightful

guidance on many facets of life. It inspires people to consider their behaviour,
seek information, value variety, and establish an ethical code of conduct.
Millions of individuals all over the world are still motivated by the Quran's
teachings, which point them in the direction of morality, compassion, and
personal development.

Muslims have a complete Quranic guide to living a morally honest life. It

covers a variety of topics, including ethical behaviour, social concerns, family
difficulties, and religious themes. Muslims find solace and comfort in the
Quran, which offers guidance in difficult circumstances and promotes a closer
relationship with Allah. The verses therein give strength and satisfaction to
Muslims by giving them hope, certainty and knowledge. The Qur'an also
contains specific legal and practical advice.

Islam's core tenet is that "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is
the Messenger of God." This Arabic phrase is frequently shown prominently in
architecture and a variety of items, including the Qur'an, the sacred book of
divine revelations of Islam. The beliefs they had with their culture is what
keeps them organized and united with each other.

Certainly, The Qur'an is undoubtedly the source of hope for all Muslims
in the globe; it gives them a sense of fulfilment and strengthens their
confidence in their Allah. They shall be guided by the verses of the Qur'an in
order to live peacefully and comfortably. The Qur'an is a significant part of
Islam for Muslims since it serves as a reminder of Allah's unfailing love for
them as well as a source of joy along their journey.
REFLECTION

The main theoretical book of Islam, the Quran, bears allusions to over
fifty persons and events that are also referenced in the Bible, as we learned
via this activity. While the plots in each book are generally similar, there are
some major differences. Scholars have discovered parallels between Persian,
Jewish, and Christian literature, despite the fact that copies of the Hebrew
Bible and the Christian New Testament predate the sacred text of Muslim
which is the Qur'an.

We also discovered that every Muslim looks to the Qur'an as their

source of hope as a result of their profound and unwavering faith in the words
of their Allah when we went further into the specifics of the Qur'an. When they
are lost in the darkness, they will find a way to return and seek direction from
Allah, and through the words from Qur'an, they will stand up for themselves
and continue to survive this brutal world. Many of us may not understand how
they worshipped their God, but this exercise taught us that we are all the
same when we gave love to our God. We may hold different views, but the
way we demonstrate unconditional love and fidelity is the same.

We may worship various gods in different ways, but our trust and love
for our God is the same; we trusted them, we sought direction, and our hearts
are contented with the blessings that our God provides for us; they offer us
hope in this horrible world. We may have different interests and viewpoints,
but we have the same feelings about them. One of the sections contained in
our sacred writings is about mutual respect; we shall respect the opinions of
others while focusing completely on worshipping our God.

Knowing this type of information about other people's beliefs enables us

to appreciate their beautiful forms of worship. The most crucial thing that has
been done is that they will continue to live their lives under Allah's direction. If
there is faith, a calm life will result for each and every person.

In addition, as a group, while we engaged in this activity, we became

more familiar with one another and recognized that if there is an activity, we
should do it immediately so that we would have free time for other activities. It
was enjoyable to participate in this activity and get to know one another's
sacred scripture. Our first activity together as a group went well and smoothly.
