Bagong Lipunan aims to conduct business in a safe, responsible and equitable manner, in compliance with all

applicable laws, regulations and internationally recognized standards and consistent with Bagong Lipunan’s
corporate values. We seek to engage in business with suppliers who share these values and adhere to the
minimum requirements outlined in this Supplier Standard. We expect all suppliers to comply with reasonable
Filipino community standards of ethics and business practices.

We trust that our suppliers share and will work with us to promote our shared commitment to ethical, safe and
socially responsible practices and behaviors. We expect our suppliers to ensure that their employees and other
group entities are aware of, and comply with, this Supplier Standard. We expect our suppliers (you) to also
communicate this Supplier Standard to your subcontractors, agents and other parties who are engaged by you so
that they are aware of, understand and comply with, this Supplier Standard when you or they are providing goods
or services to, or on behalf of, Bagong Lipunan.

Safe Workplace
We are committed to pursuing a high standard of health and safety throughout our operations and strive for
continual improvement of health and safety. Accordingly, we expect our Suppliers must:
• maintain a safe workplace
• comply with all applicable health and safety laws
• implement continuous improvement and management systems to ensure compliance and effective controls
• adopt early intervention programs and rehabilitation to prevent injuries and illness
• comply with our reasonable health and safety requirements as set out in any applicable Bagong Lipunanpolicies,
standards and guidelines in place from time to time and including any additional requirements relating to health
and safety incorporated into any contractual arrangements with suppliers
• provide all necessary supervision, training, instruction, equipment, resourcing and information to all its workers
• consult on issues that may affect health and safety as it relates to Bagong Lipunan
• integrate health and safety into its planning, design, importing, manufacturing and supply
• review, monitor and evaluate health and safety its performance.

Discrimination, Harassment and Abuse


We expect our suppliers to act with dignity and respect toward their workforce by promptly taking action against
inappropriate workplace behaviour. Our suppliers should not engage in or support discrimination on any unlawful
ground, including due to gender (or gender identity or expression), physical, mental or intellectual abilities, race,
ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, intersex status, relationship status, family or carer’s responsibilities, pregnancy,
socio-economic status, culture and identity, religious or political beliefs or professional background experience. Our
suppliers should not use or tolerate threats, acts of violence, harassment or physical, mental, verbal or sexual
abuse in its dealings.

Ethical Practices and Fraud & Corruption


Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding anti- bribery, corruption and prohibited
business practices. Suppliers must conduct business in an ethical, equitable and professional manner. This means
that suppliers must act ethically and responsibly in your approach to business decisions. In negotiating and
administering contracts and other business relationships, you are expected to be fair and reasonable. You must not
behave in any way that is, or might be construed as being harsh, oppressive, unconscionable, unethical, coercive or
dishonest. Suppliers must disclose any part of their business operations that may not meet reasonable Filipino
community standards of ethics and business practices.

Conflicts of Interest
If you have a conflict of interest, this must be declared to us prior to supplying, or, if you are a current supplier or
contractor, as soon as the conflict of interest arises. A conflict of interest arises when a person or company is in a
position which requires them to balance their own interests or the interests of others (such as another company
friends or relatives) against the interests of our company. You must fully and promptly disclose to us any private or
other business interests or other matters which may lead to potential or actual conflicts of interest.

Compliance
We will deal with suppliers who comply with applicable laws and regulations relating to your business conduct and
operations, those relating to modern slavery and chain of responsibility. We will review and may cease dealing
with any supplier or contractor who is found to have acted unethically or illegally. You should be aware,
accountable, and responsible for all your actions and act in accordance with our policies, standards and procedures
in a lawful, fair, transparent and ethical manner. You should also consider how you deal with any serious or
sensitive concerns about wrongdoings or malpractice (whistleblowing) in your organization. You must implement
policies and practices aimed at identifying strategic and operational risks, vulnerabilities and your compliance
obligations and should facilitate risk awareness, communication, and mitigation within your business.

the company's core principles. We want to work with suppliers who share our values and meet the
minimum requirements set in our supplier standard. We want all suppliers to adhere to reasonable
Filipino community ethical and business norms.

We believe that our suppliers share our commitment to ethical, safe, and socially responsible practices
and behaviors and will collaborate with us to advance it. We expect our suppliers to make certain that
their employees and other group entities are aware of and abide by this supplier standard. We require
our suppliers (you) to convey this Supplier Standard to your subcontractors, agents, and other parties
with whom you have contracted so that they are aware of, understand, and comply with it when you or
they provide goods or services to or on behalf of Bagong Lipunan.

Workplace Security
We are committed to maintaining a high level of health and safety throughout our operations and aim
for continuous improvement. As a result, we expect our vendors to:

 keep the workplace safe


 All applicable health and safety laws must be followed.
 Implement management and continuous improvement processes to ensure compliance and
effective controls.
 To avoid injuries and disease, implement early intervention programs and rehabilitation.
 comply with our reasonable health and safety requirements as set forth in any applicable
Bagong Lipunan rules, regulations, and guidelines in effect at the time, as well as any extra
health and safety criteria included into any contractual arrangements with suppliers.
 All of its employees are given the appropriate supervision, training, teaching, equipment,
resources, and information.
 Consult on Bagong Lipunan-related issues that may influence health and safety.
 Integrate health and safety into its planning, design, importing, manufacturing, and supply, as
well as review, monitor, and evaluate health and safety performance.
Discrimination, harassment, and abuse are all unacceptable.
We expect our vendors to treat their employees with decency and respect by swiftly addressing
unacceptable workplace behavior. Our suppliers must not engage in or support discrimination on any
illegal basis, including discrimination based on gender (or gender identity or expression), physical,
mental, or intellectual abilities, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, intersex status, relationship
status, family or caregiver responsibilities, pregnancy, socioeconomic status, culture and identity,
religious or political beliefs, or professional background experience. Threats, acts of violence,
harassment, or physical, mental, verbal, or sexual abuse should not be used or tolerated by our
providers.

Ethical Behavior, Fraud, and Corruption


Suppliers must follow all applicable anti-bribery, corruption, and prohibited business practices laws and
regulations. Suppliers must behave themselves ethically, fairly, and professionally. This means that
suppliers must approach business decisions ethically and responsibly. You are required to be fair and
reasonable while negotiating and managing contracts and other commercial agreements. You must not
act in any way that could be interpreted as harsh, repressive, unconscionable, unethical, coercive, or
dishonest. Suppliers must disclose any aspect of their company operations that may violate acceptable
Filipino community ethics and business practices.

Potential conflicts of interest


If you have a conflict of interest, you must notify us before supplying, or as soon as the conflict of
interest occurs if you are a current supplier or contractor. A conflict of interest occurs when a person or
corporation is forced to weigh their own or the interests of others (such as other corporate
acquaintances or family) against the interests of our firm. You must completely and promptly disclose to
us any private or other business interests, as well as any other circumstances that could result in
potential or actual conflicts of interest.

Compliance
We will only work with suppliers who follow all applicable laws and regulations governing your
business's conduct and operations, including the chain of accountability. We will conduct an
investigation and may terminate our relationship with any supplier or contractor who is determined to
have acted unethically or illegally. You must be aware of, accountable for, and responsible for all of your
actions, and you must follow our policies, standards, and procedures in a lawful, fair, transparent, and
ethical manner. You should also examine how you would handle any significant or sensitive concerns
about wrongdoing or malpractice in your firm (whistleblowing). Policies and practices must be
