Documentary – Summary.

Logistics of the future

It would be difficult to imagine our life without modern logistics. As consumers we can shop online
every day, at any time, and we expect it to arrive on time.

Online shopping is booming and shipping is trending upward.

We are going to see connected large warehouses to find out how logistics faces modern challenges.
We look at one of the largest logistics providers in the world, DHL.

Our journey begins in Berlin, in a warehouse like 18 football fields together. We follow a package
especially. A staff member receives information on the screen of his smart glasses telling him where
to wear it.

Our package has a code that is tracked and monitored by extraordinarily complex systems
throughout the process.

Today logistics consists of local networks such as manufacturers, distributors, logistics contractors
and waste disposal.

Modern logistics looks to the future being cleaner with electric vans and last-mile bicycle delivery
people.
