Jr. Electrical Engineer

➢ Job Summary
To provide electrical engineering design work from engineering feasibility study
phase to the commissioning phase of the project with a good quality of deliverables,
meets company standards and National & International codes & standards.Provide
technical assistant to operational and maintenance departments for problem solving
and root cause analysis.

➢ Main Accountabilities
•Comply with all PTVI and Engineering Department EHS procedures, standards
and policies in Engineering Project area.
• Complete electrical engineering design following PTVI Engineering Standard
Procedures as well as international standards.
• Develop project scope and provide alternatives and recommendations to the
project engineer, project manager and project sponsor as per agreement
with project sponsor.
• Coordinate preparation of electrical engineering construction drawings to
ensure a comprehensive package is issued that is fully understood and
constructible.
• Develop electrical technical specification for equipment/materials purchase
and create material requisition for all equipment & material required in the
project assigned, review technical and bid evaluation and propose to project
engineer and project manager for the best tender offer.
• Develop cost estimate in accordance with project scope of work and
technical specifications, and Engineering Work Package (EWP)
documentation and commissioning procedure, to ensure all aspects of
construction, safety, and quality clearly defined.
• Produce tender scope of work, review technical bid and propose to project
engineer and project manager for the best tender offer, and also perform
periodic inspection to ensure the work is technically being performed in
accordance with electrical EWP requirements.
• Provide electrical engineering technical support for PTVI Maintenance and
Operations Department as well as cooperatively work with project designers
communicating ideas effectively.
➢ Requirements
• Minimum S1 Electrical Engineering from reputable university
• Preferable S2 Electrical Engineering in Power System from reputable university
• Experience : Minimum 2 years in engineering or consultant job experience
➢ Specific Required skills :
• Strong technical competence in power generation, transmission, distribution, and
protection.
• Strong technical competence in power system simulation, load flow calculation, short
circuit analysis,transient stability simulation, and optimization.
• Hands-on manual calculation and software proficiency such as ETAP, Matlab, etc.
• Technical knowledge in generator,transformer, motor, energy storage, busbar,
protective relays, MCC, breaker
• Leadership & reporting skill
