Steam Injection - AQUA

Working principal

The steam injector is the "pump" circulating the water in the pipe line and the evaporator section
i.e. Steam is entering the steam injector in connection (G1) and condensate is leaving via
connection (G3) (flow controlled by valve VA-SS-04). The condensate is drained to
"atmospheric drain tank" or hot well i.e. tank without pressure.

The circulation of hot water in the heating loop (steam injector – evaporator section) is obtained
by means of the steam injector itself. When steam enters the connection (G1) it will pass an
internal nozzle. This will create a vacuum behind the nozzle, whereas the pressure and velocity
will increase after the nozzle.

The steam will become condensate by heating the "hot water" in the heating loop and after the
injector nozzle the steam/water mix will enter the injector diffuser. In this part of the steam
injector the pressure and velocity (i.e. the Kinetic energy) will be converted from pressure.

By controlling the inlet pressure to approximately 0.8 BarG the circulation temperature will be
85 deg.c. As condensate is evacuated through valve VA-SS-04 a suitable steam flow will enter
the heating loop and maintain both correct flow and inlet temperature.
