Synchronization Error Messages

Synchronization error messages indicate that a problem occurred during a manual or automatic synchronization
between MiCollab Client Service and another entity.

MiCollab Client Service Error Messages

The following table lists the MiCollab Client Service error messages that may appear during the synchronization
process. These messages may appear for any type of synchronizer configured.
Error Message Probable Cause Corrective Action

System Busy. System is in maintenance mode, or
system in start up mode.
License exceeded. Exceeded customer purchased
license feature.
Too many primary aliases exists. Too many aliases exists.
Invalid alias ID. Alias ID is invalid.
Invalid voice mail system. The provisioned VM is invalid.
Authentication failed. Invalid user name or password.
Password too short. User’s password is too short.
Wait until system is in service mode
or wait until system is fully started.
Purchase additional license.
Remove user/account alias.
Validate user/account alias.
Provision a valid VM system.
Try user's valid user name and
password.
Change to a longer password.

AD/LDAP Synchronization Error Messages

If you have configured an Active Directory/LDAP synchronizer, synchronization errors appear in the table that lists the
AD/LDAP domains on the Synchronization Tab. The following table provides troubleshooting information for AD/LDAP
synchronization error messages.
NOTE: The structure and text included in the error message is determined by the type of LDAP server used. The
error messages in the table below provide examples only and may not reflect the actual verbiage generated by the
LDAP server used at your site.
