The Walking Fish
The Walking Fish
She gave the witch her tail, and the witch helped her walk on land.
I want to be like her. I think I’ll go see the witch. But she also had to lose her enchanting voice
to the witch and suffer from pain with every step she took. Can you handle that?
But she wanted to live forever on land, and I only wanted to meet my friends for a couple of
hours.
Besides, I can’t sing at all. I think the witch doesn’t want to have my voice. I’ll promise to
return them on time, and the she ‘ll lend me a pair of legs for sure.
Why are you here, little fish? Do you want to have legs, too?
Oh, my. I do. How do you know? Yes, I do need a pair of legs so I can walk with my crab
friends. Please, help me.
What do you have in exchange? I won’t help you for free. Can you sing beautifully
Ther, you see. I have a terrible voice and I only have a tiny tail which is too ordinary.
Fine, I’ll help you. Just remember to return the legs afterwards.
