SYSTEM PROCEDURES
Bag Cutoff
Revision: 01

1. Purpose

To adjust the system so that no bags are cut during the scan when stopped over the X-ray
beam.

2. Application

This procedure applies to all XIS 100X X-ray scanning machines.

3. Responsibility

3.1 Knowing X-Ray safety is the sole responsibility of the person who is performing the
adjustment; always keep the exposure to the X-Rays as low as possible.

4. Procedure

4.1 Right Click the “Start” button on the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
4.2 Click on Explore.
4.3 Go to: C:\Program Files\Xray Client\Runtime.ini
4.4 Find the field labeled Reversebelt=400.
4.5 To begin set this value at 586
4.6 Scan a bag and study results.
4.7 If the bag is still being cut, increase the value.
4.8 If the bag is being “over extended” or repeated then decrease the value.
4.9 Increase/Decrease the value at increments of 1-5 until you find the value which gives
you the desired image.
4.10 Repeat steps until the image is no longer being distorted.
