In Everything Give Thanks Copyright 8.10.11 Jim Hughes; Open Gospel Fellowship
1 Thess 5:18 (KJV) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. [Im so prone to look @ the problems in life instead of the blessings that abound all around Jim] (MSG) Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.
16-18

[Be cheerful no matter what... thank God no matter what happens Many would call this, Someone who is being a Pollyanna but this is Gods will for us; but does that mean Im supposed to feel good about it?] My Utmost For His Highest (Ozzy) Notice God's unutterable waste of saints, according to the judgment of the world. God plants His saints in the most useless places. We say - God intends me to be here because I am so useful. Jesus never estimated His life along the line of the greatest use. God puts His saints where they will glorify Him, and we are no judges at all of where that is. [Does it feel like youre in the wrong place? Do you feel like youre of no use? Guess what? Youre probably right where God wants you!] Proverbs 17:22 (KJV) A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. (AMP) A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. [A merry heart not only is medicine to yourself but the point is that we become medicine to others; not all medicine is pleasant to take!]
