The Human Eye

Who would believe that so small a space could contain all the images of the
universe? O’ mighty process! What talent can avail to penetrate a nature
such as these? What tongue will it be that can unfold so great a wonder?
Verily, none! This it is that guides the human discourse to the considering of
divine things.

Here the figures, here the colors, here all the images of every part of the
universe are contracted to a point. O’ what point is so marvelous!

If the entire goal is to feed thy soul,


Then in the littlest thou must see the whole.

A leaf that is to grow is full of folds and wrinkles before it develops. Those
who are impatient to have it at once smooth like a willow leaf are in a bad
way.

All understanding begins with admiration.

What we nourish within ourselves grows- such is the everlasting law of


nature.

There is nothing insignificant in the world. It all depends on how you look at
it.
