The writ petition of the

MOST RESPECTFULLY SHOWETH

1. That the Petitioner is filing the present writ petition present civil in nature of Public Interest
Litigation is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India by petitioner to enforce the
Fundamental rights.
2. That the petitioner is a citizen of India and is therefore entitled to enjoy all the rights
guaranteed by the constitution of India
3. That the petition, if allowed, would benefit the citizens of this country generally as rule of law
is essential for democracy and such violation can be stopped by Hon’ble court.

4. That the existing education system in Himachal Pradesh is characterized by a lack of

emphasis on holistic development, leading to a monotonous academic environment
that fails to nurture the diverse talents and interests of students.
5. That the predominant focus on rote learning and examination-oriented curriculum has
resulted in a generation of students with limited critical thinking skills, hindering their
ability to adapt to real-world challenges.
6. That the absence of comprehensive career counselling mechanisms within the
education system has left students uninformed about various career paths, leading to
misguided choices and career dissatisfaction.
7. That the need for Co-curricular activities and sports, essential for the holistic
development of students, are often neglected, contributing to a lack of physical fitness,
teamwork, and leadership skills among the student community.
8. That the current system promotes a herd mentality, where students tend to follow
conventional career paths without exploring their individual passions and aptitudes,
thereby stifling innovation and creativity.
9. That there is an urgent need to revamp the education system in Himachal Pradesh to
incorporate progressive methodologies, including interactive and practical learning
experiences, career counselling, and a robust framework for co-curricular activities
and sports.
10. That the PIL seeks to address these issues and advocate for a more dynamic and
inclusive education system that fosters intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a well-
rounded development of students, preparing them for a rapidly evolving global
landscape.
 That the petitioner contends that the incorporation of career counselling and a
diversified approach to education will not only set aside the monotony but also
cultivate proactive, versatile, and forward-thinking individuals, breaking the pattern
of lethargic adherence to traditional norms within the student community.

PRAYER FOR RELEIF

It is, therefore most respectfully and humbly prayed that this Hon’ble court may kindly be pleased to:-

1. Issue a writ, order or direction to State board of Himachal Pradesh for reformulation
of Education Policy kindly Direct the concerned authorities to review and reformulate
the education policy in Himachal Pradesh, incorporating provisions for holistic
development, practical learning, and a diversified curriculum. Requesting the court to
Implement Comprehensive Career Counselling and mandate the integration of
comprehensive career counselling services within educational institutions to guide
students in making informed decisions about their academic and professional pursuits.
Promotion of Innovative Teaching Methodologies: Encourage the adoption of
innovative and interactive teaching methodologies that foster critical thinking,
creativity, and independent thought, moving away from rote learning practices.
2. To direct any Other Relief Deemed Fit, relief or remedy that the Honourable Court
deems fit and just in the circumstances to ensure the effective implementation of the
reforms and the protection of the fundamental rights of students.
