 DEFINISI
Toksikologi merupakan disiplin ilmu terapan yang mempelajari
pengaruh toksikan dari materi asing yang disebut xenobiotic. Berbagai
cabang ilmu dari toksikologi diterapkan pada dunia industri disebut
sebagai toksikologi industri atau occupational toxicology [5]. Toksikologi
adalah ilmu yang penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sangat
luas dan sangat pesat perkembangannya. Ilmu ini mencakup banyak
disiplin seperti biologi, fisiologi, imunologi, farmakologi, patologi dan
kimia. Toksikologi memiliki peran dalam berbagai bidang seperti industri
