New York City

Officially New York City, it is the most populated city in the United States and one
of the most populated in the world, since it has too many urban areas of 24 million
inhabitants. Since the end of the 19th century it has been one of the centers of the
politics and the world economy, housing the headquarters of the United Nations
Organization and numerous companies and financial institutions of global
importance. New York is too influential in terms of global influence in media,
politics, education, architecture, entertainment, arts and fashion. For all these
reasons, it is considered one of the most globalized cities on the planet, with too
much cultural diversity.
In the New York subway you will see everything, from women putting on makeup
or changing in their cars, to preachers announcing the message of salvation, and
numerous artistic displays, not all the artists you see and hear in the stations and
cars have permission but most yes. There is a project called Music under NY, in
which enough musicians, around 350 musicians, play all types of music, in a semi-
professional way; There, every spring season, the MTA holds an open casting call
for new artists, from all over the world, who want to do their shows in a legal way,
having the option to choose times and lines.
Times Square
This is another iconic point of the city, and a must-see stop during a visit to New
York. For several years it has become the epicenter of the Big Apple, as its lights,
advertisements and, famously, Broadway have made this street one of the busiest
in all of New York.
However, before it became popular, Times Square used to be called Long Acre
Square and was just another small square, not bright enough to attract tourists,
until the headquarters of the family newspaper The New York Times moved into
the area and created a new life and name to this place.
