Subject: Suspected Unapproved Parts Notification

Applicability: Aircraft components

Description: The Belgian Civil Aviation Authority informed EASA that the
following company, buying and selling aircraft components, is
subject to a judicial investigation in Belgium:

Name: Aviation Support Europe


Address: Nijverheidslaan 21F, 3200 Aarschot, Belgium

Recommendation(s): Owners, operators, maintenance organisations and


distributors having already bought any aircraft component
from Aviation Support Europe, are encouraged to quarantine
it, to prevent its installation on any aircraft.

It is also recommended to inform accordingly the competent


authority and the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority – Aviation
Safety Inspectorate.

At this time, the safety concern described in this SIB is not


considered to be an unsafe condition that would warrant
Airworthiness Directive (AD) action under EU 748/2012, Part
21.A.3B.
