Course Description:
Introduction to Electrical Engineering (EE101) provides a foundational overview of the concepts,
principles, and practices that underpin the field of electrical engineering. This course covers the basics
of circuit analysis, electronic devices, signal processing, and systems engineering. Designed for first-
year engineering students, the course aims to equip learners with the core skills and knowledge
essential for advanced studies in electrical and electronics engineering.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Understand and apply the principles of electric circuits, including Ohm’s Law and Kirchhoff's
Laws.
2. Analyze simple DC and AC circuits using techniques such as node voltage and mesh current
methods.
3. Describe the operation and characteristics of semiconductor devices such as diodes and
transistors.
4. Understand the basic concepts of digital logic circuits and their applications in computing.
5. Implement and debug simple circuits in lab settings using standard electrical engineering tools
