MALENGO SCHOLARSHIP CALL, APRIL 2024

Dear team/ Candidates,

I hope this message finds you well. I extend my sincere gratitude for your unwavering support of
refugees in Uganda and Africa.

I am pleased to inform you that Malengo has launched the Uganda-Germany Refugee Program,
aimed at providing educational opportunities to refugees registered in Uganda. We would like to
give refugees the opportunity to study for a Bachelor's degree in Germany.

All information about the program and the application portal can be found here. The application
deadline for this program is fast approaching, set for the 30th of April 2024.
We would be very grateful if you could spread information about the program in your network
and encourage interested candidates to apply.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Basic Eligibility:

 Possession of a UCE and UACE Certificate

 Registered refugee status in Uganda with relevant documentation such as family
attestation and refugee ID
 Age between 18 and 29 years at the time of application
 Not having completed a Bachelor’s program previously

Academic Eligibility:

 Attainment of at least two subjects at the Principal Level of the Uganda Advanced
Certificate of Education (UACE) with a grade of E or better
 Attainment of at least three subjects in the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a
grade of 6 or better

Additionally, applicants must:

 Demonstrate proficiency in English (reading, writing, listening and speaking).

 Come from a background of limited means.
 Exhibit motivation to excel academically at a German university and actively integrate
into the community.

To provide further insights into the program and address any queries, Malengo will be hosting
an information session for all applicants and potential candidates. Details of the session are as
