My choice of an endangered species is pandas.

I chose them because they look

incredibly cute and cuddly. And because I've watched documentaries about
them.
Pandas belong to the group of animals called mammals, they inhabit the forests
of China. They typically live solitary lives, although they can sometimes be seen
in pairs during the mating season. Pandas have a distinctive appearance. They
are medium-sized and have thick fur that is mostly black and white. Their head
is round with black eye patches, and their ears are short and rounded. They
have a robust and powerful body, with short and strong legs adapted for
climbing trees. Pandas also have special hands with a "sixth finger" that helps
them grasp bamboo, their main source of food. There are a couple of reasons
why pandas are endangered species. They eat the wrong food, and a panda
that only eats bamboo doesn't have enough energy for basic daily activities,so
because of that they are lazy. Pandas are also on the list of "worst mothers in
the animal world." There are two reasons for this. The first reason is that a
mother panda can give birth to a maximum of two cubs, but only one cub can
survive. Female pandas are unable to care for two cubs at the same time, so
they immediately leave one cub behind after giving birth. Another reason why
pandas are on the list of "worst mothers in the animal world" is that pandas are
very rarely pregnant, so sometimes they don't even know how to carry a cub in
their womb. This lack of knowledge can also lead to the fact that when they
give birth, they accidentally kill their cub in their sleep because they didn't even
realize it existed.
And luckily governments and organizations worldwide are making efforts to
protect and conserve pandas. There are conservation programs focused on
preserving their habitats, captive breeding, and raising awareness about the
importance of protecting them.
