Pak Dream (Pvt) Ltd is located in Hattar Industrial Estate about 25 KM from the capital city Islamabad. It is an
established concrete block, paving and kerb stone manufacturing factory, which has state-of-the art machinery
imported from MASA Germany the world's leading supplier of block manufacturing equipment. The factory,
first of its kind in the country, has been erected by the German Engineers with close collaboration of Pakistani
Engineers and Technicians. It is spread over an area of 5 acres and has the unique capability of producing over
60,000 block / paver per day. To ensure smooth and uninterrupted production, we have installed a 500 KVA
electric power generator as standby to WAPDA, which is used as the primary source of power supply.
Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) Produced under the brand name PRIMECRETE by our PLC based automated
plant, virtually leaves no room for human error and thus conforms to international standards of quality and
reliability. The production facility is managed by a team of qualified engineers and technicians who have
received extensive theoretical and hands-on training imparted by experienced engineers from Germany. Thus
our professional supervisory staff is capable of producing CMUs to international fabrication standards ASTM
C90, ASTM C129, BS 6073 Part I and BA 6073 Part II.
Our quality assurance and inspection system ensures that all the products meet or exceed the customers'
requirements. In addition to the continually ongoing in-process inspection, the product is subject to final QC
inspection, which ensures consistency in quality. All raw and process materials are procured from approved

Solid interlocking paving stone has the unique ability to transfer loads and stresses laterally by means of an
arching or bridging action between units. Spreading the load over a larger area reduces the stress. Thereby
allowing heavier loads and traffic over sub grades which would normally require heavily reinforced
concrete.The solid interlocking units are available in an array of colors and patterns which lend themselves to
the creation of interesting designs.
In addition to breaking the monotony of a flat paved area, concrete paving stone can be used to permanently
mark such areas as parking bays, traffic lanes and crosswalks.
Concrete paving stones offer an ecological solution to the increasing concern for the environment because
pavers place the moisture from rainfall back into the earth rather than letting it run off as waste. This is
especially true when the open type stone is used. The use of paving stone makes the repair to utilities beneath
paved areas quick and easy. Paving stone area is simply removed before the work is done and replaced when
finished. Solid interlocking paving stones are available in different thicknesses ranging from 2-3/8" to 4"
(50mm to 100mm).

INITIAL PAVER INSTALLATION COST

Cost savings can be achieved for small and simple projects by homeowners installing the pavement themselves
with the aid of a good DIY installation manual, usually provided by the manufacturer of the paver products.
Generally, concrete pavers are less expensive than clay pavers, granite pavers or sandstone pavers. When
considering maintenance and replacement costs, pavers offer an economical long-term alternative to other
types of pavement.
PAVER STRENGTH
Concrete pavers are extremely dense units, which possess exceptional strength and durability, superior stability
under severe loads, and are unaffected by the extremes of heat and frost. Each unit has joints that allow for a
small amount of movement without cracking. Factory made pavers last for decades. Manufactured to tight
dimensional tolerances, pavers are stronger than regular poured concrete surfaces and more durable than black
asphalt. They can take more abuse and last for generations. One of the greatest advantages is that a segmental
paving system allows for expansion and contraction without producing surface cracks, unlike solid concrete
surfaces and stamped concrete.
EASY TO REPAIR
Remove and reinstate the same pavers with no ugly patches after repairs to the base or underground utilities.
Asphalt, concrete, and stamped concrete cannot make this claim. Pavers are low-maintenance and offer low
life-cycle costs.

MAINTENANCE
One of the other good advantages is that stained or broken pavers can be easily replaced without patches. Dark
colored pavers can help hide stains. Ants and weeds in joints can be prevented with sealers or herbicides.
Pavers can be repaired by lifting the affected area, re-grading and re-compacting the base and bedding sand
and reinstalling the same pavers. It is an inexpensive procedure that leaves no unsightly repair patches.
Pavers are easy to maintain. Regular sweeping and occasional rinsing are usually the most maintenance
needed. For heavy soiling, pressure washing with appropriate clearing solutions (re-sanding of joints will be
necessary) or a simple spot treatment with a brush, cleaner, water and some elbow grease will solve the
problem.
Pavers can also be sealed. This makes the maintenance free and this is a good idea for high traffic areas or
areas that are more susceptible to getting stained.
DRAINAGE
Because pavers have a porous joint between them, they provide excellent drainage. The water can seep down
through the joints and into the ground. Ecologically, this prevents water runoff, which may damage the
surrounding areas. Water goes into the ground not into the sewer system.
WINTER DURABILITY & SNOW REMOVAL
Snow can be plowed, blown or shoveled just like asphalt or concrete pavements. The chamfered (beveled)
edge of pavers will prevent you from catching an edge with the plow or shovel. Using de-icing products like
salt or calcium chloride will not harm or pit the pavers. Electric or liquid snow-melting systems work well
under concrete pavers, eliminating snow removal while reducing slip hazards. Smooth surface allows for easy
snow removal. Pavers can be colored dark to help melt snow faster. Snowmelt systems can be installed to
eliminate snow and ice removal. Concrete pavers resist deterioration of freezing and thawing cycles and
deicing salts better than asphalt and better than ordinary poured in place concrete.
WEATHER RESISTANCE
Pavers can be used in any climate and can be trafficked immediately upon compaction. The joints between the
pavers eliminate the cracking common with traditional asphalt and concrete pavements.
DURABILITY
Interlocking concrete pavers are a flexible system and allow for movement, they are almost indestructible, the
pavement system moves in unison with the earth’s usual tendency to swell and contract over the long term thus
avoiding any serious damage.
VERSATILITY
Pavers can be applied in both residential and commercial settings, including surface coverings for driveways,
parking lots, promenades, sidewalks, pool decks, patios, streets, golf cart paths and even roof gardens.
Interlocking concrete pavers are a sensible and aesthetically attractive choice for all outdoor surfaces.
SAFETY
On both vehicular and pedestrian applications pavers have a non-skid surface even when the pavers are wet
they are safe to walk or drive a vehicle over them.

1. The Durability of Concrete Pavers

The physical properties of the RCP Bella Vista interlocking pavers allow for nearly 4 times the load bearing
weight of a standard concrete slab, (Approximately 8000psi compared to 2000psi of some concrete slabs). This
high strength of the concrete pavers allows for heavier loads and longer life than that of standard concrete or
asphalt. When looking at the durability of asphalt surfaces it must be noted that they have only moderate
strength and will break down with traffic over time. With gravel, due to the fact that it is not permanent, it will
require regular filling and therefore does not provide a durable, long-lasting surface for such applications as
driveways, pathways, or patio areas.
2. The Flexibility of Concrete Pavers
The flexibility of an interlocking concrete paver system allows for adjustment to the environment as well as
avoiding seismic distortion and cracking. In the case of concrete slabs, there is a lack of flexibility which will
lead to shrinkage and cracking over time. Although somewhat flexible, the same is true with asphalt as it will
crack over time and soften with high temperatures. The flexibility of concrete pavers over other paving

3. Repair and Maintenance of Concrete Pavers
Repair and maintenance of interlocking pavers is simple, easy and affordable. If for some reason a paver
becomes damaged or stained, you simply need to remove the offending paver(s) and replace it with a new
paver(s). Repair and maintenance of concrete slabs and asphalt are more complicated. Stains and cracks to
concrete slabs and asphalt lead to expensive and time consuming resurfacing projects which will likely occur
multiple times over the lifetime of the paved area. As far as gravel areas, they must be filled in frequently.
Over time and with use, the surface will become uneven.
4. Concrete Pavers are Easy to Maintain

Keep pavers looking like new by sealing them with one of the many concrete sealers sold at RCP every 12 to
18 months, depending on how much traffic the area receives. It also may be necessary to add joint sand to
your interlocking concrete paver area every so often to replace any sand that has been swept or washed away.
