The Lion and the Rabbit

አንበሳውና ጥንቸሉ

Once there was a Lion in the jungle（የሆነ ግዜ አንድ አንበሳ ነበር ዱር ውስጥ） who used to kill 2-3

animals daily for his meal（ከ 2 -3-እንስሳትን ለዕለት ምግቡ ሚገድል） All animals went to him to

tell, that daily one of them will come to him for his meal.（ሁሉም እንስሳቶች በቀን አንዳችን ለዕለት

ምግብህ እንመጣልሃለን ብለው ሊነግሩት ሄዱ）

So, the Lion agreed and this started going for many days.（አንበሳውም ተስማማ እናም ይህ ሂደት
ለቀናት ቀጠለ） One day, it was Rabbit's turn.（አንድ ቀን የጥንቸል ተራ ነበር） When he was on his
way he saw a well. （የሄደ ሳለ የውሃ ጉድጓድ አየ）Now he plans to kill the lion and save himself.
（አሁን አንበሳውን ገድሎ እራሱን ማዳን አቀደ）

He went to lion and told him that, there is another lion who claims to be more powerful than him.
（ወደ አንበሳው ሄደና ከአንተ በላይ ኃይለኛ ነኝ ሚል ሌላ አንበሳ አለ ብሎ ነገረው）
Then lion asks the rabbit to take him to that lion. （አንበሳው ጥንቸሉን ወደዚያ አንበሳ እንዲወስደው
ጠየቀው）The rabbit takes him to the well and said he lives here.（ጥንቸሉም ወደ የውሃ ጉድጓድ
ወስዶት እዚህ ነው ሚኖረው አለው） When the lion looked in the well he saw his own reflection
and jumped in the well and dies. （አንበሳው ወደ ውሃ ጉድጓድ ሲመለከት የራሱን ነፀብራቅ አየ እናም
ዘሎ ገብቶ ሞተ）
