Task 1
The bar graph illustrates data about three fossil fuels namely oil, coal, gas in the
UK from 1990 to 2010. Overall, it can be seen that the number of gas shows
upward trend, while coal shows downward trend.
In 1990, the petrol emission of greenhouse gases total 220 million tons. After 5
years, the number was increase significantly, which attracted at 270 million tons.
From 2000 to 2010, there was a slight increase in the number of gas, which
between 300 and 320 million of tons. In other hand, the amount of coal emissions
decreased during the period from 1990 to 2010, over 300 million in 1990 and only
190 million in 2010.
The number of oil emissions fluctuations over 10 years, which account for 260
million tons in 2000. Then, the number decrease slightly until 2010, which
attracted under 200 million tons.
Task 2
There is a popular belief that people who have a hobby to read is helps enhence
creativity and imagination, while watching TV does very little for these abilities. In
my opinion, i totally agree with this topic for several reasons and will discuss the
reasons in the following essay.
Reading can help people to develop their language skills and creativity in many
ways. First, unlike watching television, which is often considered passive, reading
is an active form of learning. It requires readers to employ their imagination to
visualize characters and storyline, thus fostering the development of imaginative
thinking skills.Secondly, language skills can also benefit significantly from regular
reading. Through frequent reading, people can broaden their vocabulary and learn
various grammatical structures, thereby improving their ability to express
themselves effectively.
