Description:
In the digital era, understanding competitors' online presence is crucial for businesses to
develop effective marketing strategies and gain a competitive edge. In this assignment, you
will conduct an in-depth analysis of competitors' online presence across different product
categories to gain insights into their digital strategies, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Objectives:
 To familiarize students with the importance of competitor analysis in digital
marketing.
 To analyze competitors' online presence across different product categories.
 To identify key insights and actionable recommendations based on the analysis.
Instructions:
1 Choose at least three product categories relevant to your industry or area of interest.
Examples of product categories include electronics, fashion, health & wellness, home
goods, etc.
2 Research and identify at least five competitors within each product category. Ensure
that these competitors are significant players in the market with a notable online
presence.
3 Conduct a comprehensive analysis of each competitor's online presence across
various digital platforms. This may include their website, social media profiles, search
engine visibility, online advertising, content marketing efforts, email campaigns,
customer reviews, and other relevant digital channels.
4 Prepare a comparative report comparing competitors' online presence within each
product category in the attached format.
5 Provide a plan for the online presence and digital marketing strategies of your own
hypothetical company within each product category.
Submission Guidelines:
1 Submit your comparative report LMSon or before 25.4.2024.
2 Submission should only be as per the attached format.
3 Though this assignment can be done in the assigned groups, all the students are
expected to submit the assignment individually in their LMS.
Assessment Criteria:
1 Depth and thoroughness of the competitor analysis within each product category.
2 Clarity and organization of the comparative report.
3 Identification of key insights and actionable recommendations.
4 Adherence to submission guidelines and proper citation of sources.
