Medical Appeal Notice DT 12-4-24 For Level-2
1. The candidate who is Fit in Lower Medical Standards in prescribed medical categories in Level-2 is
given below.
2. The candidate has the option to prefer an appeal to the Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD),
South Western Railway, Hubli.
3. Candidate desirous to appeal against the decision of the Railway Medical Authority may submit the
same, with relevant documents mentioned below, to the Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board,
Bengaluru before 18.00 hours of 13/05/2024 by Registered post/Speed Post only.

CANDIDATE UNFIT IN A3, B1 & B2, FIT IN C1 AND BELOW

1. The candidate produces a certificate in the attached prescribed format (Proforma A) from a
Government/Private Doctor of the specialty/specialties in which the candidate has been found unfit.
2. Such certificate should contain a note that the Government / private specialist is fully aware of the
physical and visual standards set by the Railways for the particular medical category, and that he is
aware of the fact that the candidate has already been declared unfit according to these standards
during medical examination conducted by an appropriate medical board.
3. The certificate should bear the photograph and mark of identification of the candidates duly attested
by such a Government /private medical issuing authority duly mentioning its MCI/State registration
number.
4. Candidate will be required to pay Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) through Demand Draft
payable in favor of Chairman / RRB/ Bengaluru.
5. Where PCMD is of the opinion that there should be re-examination of the case of appeal, he may
nominate a medical board to re-examine the candidate. The decision of PCMD, South Western Railway
on the appeal preferred by the candidates will be communicated to them through RRB/Bengaluru.
6. In case, the decision changes from unfit to fit, the amount of R.1000/- submitted through DD will be
returned to the candidate. In all other cases, the DD amount will be forfeited and the candidates will
not have any claim on the same.
7. After this appeal no further chance will be given for medical examination.
NOTE: 1) Appeal against the medical unfit should be sent in his / her own handwriting with signature. 2) The
proforma ‘A’ should contain detail diagnose particulars (both with glasses and without glasses for visual
standards). 3) The appeal will be entertained only with the appeal letter as given at Proforma B, Original
Medical Certificate as given at Proforma A & DD for Rs.1000/-
