 Definition

I'm going to simulate this heat exchanger at

design mode in Aspen EDR and compare results
by datasheet
 First run heat exchanger at Aspen
Hysys and after that import it in
Aspen EDR

Then
Run Heat exchanger in design mode
Please consider this results.
Now compare with datasheet
Almost all other parameters match except
the surface.
What's problem?
Which wrong assumption can cause of this
deviation?

Unfortunately Aspen EDR by default fills

0 in FOULING RESISTANCE rows.

Considering that we have used pure

components (C4 and H2O) in this case and
all data around them are available.
After insert the fouling resistance
parameters and run software we can see
effect of this correction.
Calculated surface(96/8 m2) is little different with actual
surface(124/8 m2).
Software doesn't consider Overdesign.
After insert this item (25% overdesign) we can take
acceptable output that meet with datasheet.
 All simulation software are very good
tools, provided that we give them correct
and complete assumptions.
