Now, Bible Verses Make You Rich
******
Money and wealth are important to God. Since the earth is His and all it contains, it is
only natural that we look to Him for tips and tricks on how to become wealthy. God
has provided many Bible verses about wealth and prosperity throughout Scripture.
Some of these passages reveal whom God blessed with riches. King David was a man
after God’s own heart and exceedingly rich. In David’s later years, he gave 3,000
talents of gold and 7,000 talents of silver out of his treasury to help build a temple to
God. Today, one talent of gold is worth over one million dollars. Multiply that by
3,000 and you will see King David was exceedingly prosperous. However, his son
would become even wealthier. During Solomon’s reign, the Bible reports that besides
his inherited wealth and other income, Solomon had an annual income of 666 talents
of gold. Plus, he made silver so abundant that it became as common as rocks.
God blesses with riches. Proverbs 10:22 “The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and
he adds no sorrow with it”. If God truly believed that money was inherently evil, He
would not give it to His people and refer to it as a blessing. It is very obvious from
Proverbs 10:22 that God can make His people wealthy. We are aware that God only
performs good things, and He would never purposefully do us harm. The verse makes
it clear that having money can be a blessing from God and that when He does, it
brings happiness and joy.
God Wants To Be Honored. Proverbs 3:9 “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with
the firstfruits of all your produce”. God, who is full of eternal glory, is not in need of
any material things, including money. However, because He sees our giving Him our
wealth as an act of honor, God is quite appreciative when we do. Therefore, how can
someone who lacks money honor God with money? God makes sure that we have a
way to obtain what He requires of us because He is aware that we are unable to give
what we do not own.
Riches Give Us The Ability To Help The Poor. Proverbs 22:9 “Whoever has a
bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor”. Luke 14:13-14
“But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you
will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the
resurrection of the just”. God pleasures in cheerful givers. He wants His saints to help
the underprivileged and those in poverty in society. Giving is among the greatest ways
of showing the neighborly love that we are commanded to have. God wants us to be
wealthy so that we can take care of our families, those who are impoverished
members of society, and ourselves. Christians and the church have a duty to shine a
light in a dark place. God wants you to be wealthy, but you must understand that it is
not your money. When you know those who struggle to make ends meet, it seems
terrible to have so much extra money.
Perhaps you were taught that the root of all evil is money. This is a misinterpretation
of 1 Timothy 6:10 in the Bible. The cause of all evil, according to the scripture, is the
desire of money. Even if you are greatly wealthy, you don't have to love money. I have
come with a lot of people in poverty who are obsessed with money. Living in poverty
more often than not makes people obsessed with their personal demands and the need
to get more money. This frequently leads to a mindset that is marked by covetousness,
selfishness, greed, and stinginess. You can prosper and do the things God has called
you to achieve without worrying about money when you realize that God is your
Source and that He wants to provide for you abundantly. As a result of sin and death
on earth, poverty is a curse of the law. God created the earth with more than enough
for every person to have all they require. He has no sense of lack. He didn't just create
enough for some people to be prosperous while others suffered without food. God is
the most generous person in the universe and is a God of incredible abundance. He is
not the stingy Father you may have known growing up. He’s really rich, and really
generous, and wants the same for His children.
Would you like to share the wealth? We have good news: There are Bible verses about
wealth and prosperity that supply wisdom on how to become wealthy.
Here are 7 Bible Principles that Teach You How to Become Wealthy.
Proverbs 22:4 “The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and
life”. When learning how to be wealthy, humility will take you a long way. Part of
humility is having a teachable spirit. “Know it alls” are not open to new ways to invest
and grow wealth. Keep your heart humble so that you can have your best chance at
wealth.
Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge
of the Holy One is insight.”Above, Proverbs 22:4 joined humility and the fear of the
Lord as working together to bring riches, honor, and life. Here in Proverbs 9:10, we
learn that the fear of the Lord is also the foundation of wisdom and knowledge, both
which are necessary to obtain enduring wealth.
Proverbs 21:5 “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who
is hasty comes only to poverty.” If you desire wealth, you must plan diligently.
Diligent planning includes study, seeking advisors, and plotting a course of action.
Proverbs 10:22 “The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with
it”. Riches are a blessing from God. Seek His favor daily through prayer and
devotion. When you earn your fortune this way, you will not experience the sorrow,
hardships, and loneliness that plague some wealthy people.
Psalm 127:2 “It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread
of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.” Achieving wealth through
overworking the body, lack of sleep, and stress is not healthy. When God blesses His
children with wealth, he also wants to bless them with peace and rest.
Proverbs 3:9-10 “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your
produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with
wine”. The Bible admonishes us often to give back to God and help those in need.
When God blesses, He expects us to bless Him in return. When we give freely, it frees
Him up to bless us more abundantly.
Hebrews 13:5 “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you
have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you””. When you love
money more than God, it affects your integrity. Poor integrity will not provide
enduring wealth and riches. In all your business dealings, put God before the money.
When you operate with integrity, you will be satisfied with what God provides and
prepared to receive more. Practice these principles and Bible verses about wealth and
prosperity, and you will be well on your way to riches, honor, and life.
