I was there for him during any anguish or despair he may have been going through. His kindness inspired something in me I never knew. Now he has reciprocated the gesture of support and kindness back to me. I love you so much man! You dont know! So yes, Kyle won his 8th world title in record form. He won and perser vered even in despite the chaos that was the bombarding him ever yday. I know how he did it. He basically got real fucking pissed off and dissected ever y wave and opponent to smithereens. Getting pissed off, if not used wisely and productively, will only aid ones demise. It is quite apparent that Kyle was able to transform this emotion into yet another world title. Amazing, right? Come on now. Geez god,

Caught a taxi from the Coolangatta airport before our apartment in Queensland because Kyle was doing a press conference for the Quiksilver Pro. Kirra had some perfect waves en route to our place in front of Snapper Rock. Kirra is so different now compared to the last centur y. Literally, all the sand has been getting pumped down from Duranbah has turned that place into a atoll. What a shame. There is a coalition to save Kirra. Trust me, that place is preser ved forever in about two million sqaure feet of sand. Nonetheless, the waves were about 2-3 feet and the water was a sparkling blue. DAY 2
Woke up at Lukes this morning after a night of Mexican food and margaritas. Luke has done quite well for himself. He just qualified for the World Championships in February and has an overall great outlook on life. He and his girlfriend April and their little Pug Ruby are amazing and I am very grateful for be around them. Bit of a late start this morning but luke and I headed down to Snapper where they were running the Roxy Pro in very mediocre surf. The women really get shortchanged for their events. enjoyed some good wine during his time of writing. I am defintely on m hemming way. Every evening I remind Kelly to visualize surfing before he goes to sleep. As I mentioned before, some of these big hitters never showed up mentally or physically and that defintely helped Kelley out a whole bunch. The swell was also starting to fill in, that would help everyone out quite a bit.

DAY6
I woke to see that the ladies were being sent out because the waves were fair to average. What the hell man. I dont get it. Kelley got almost a perfect score of 19.83/20.00. He amazes me. Goody Goody! I actaully didnt do to terribly bad. This morning, Taj Burrow and Kyle did a few tow-ins at Snapper. Kyle said it was like surfing Backdoor but with a sand bottom. Luke and I surfed the cranking Duranbah where I ran into the incredible Nikki Wood. Yes, Nikki Wood, the prodigy and winner of a Bells Trophy. That was a pretty incrdible moment. The waves themselves were incredible too. This would be my last day with Kyle.
