You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para
las descripciones. La primera ha sido hecha como ejemplo.

New York is a big city in the

United States (North
America). It takes thousand
of visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central
Park, the Metropolian
museum and Time’s Square.
In the picture you can see the
Statue of Liberty, a monumet
built between 1875 and 1986.
It is 93 meters tall. The statue

the Hudson River.
 Roma is a big city of Italy. Saint
Peter’s Square is a large plaza
located in front of Saint Peter’s
Basilica in the Vatican city.
This square is too big with a
length of 300 meters and a with

famous square of the Vatican.
The most impressive of this
square are the 284 columns and
88 pilasters that border the
square in a four-row portico. At
the top of the columns are 140
statues of saints made in 1670

The Sydney opera house is

located in Sydney (Australia).
it is one of the most famous and
distinctive buildings of the 20th
century. It is said that the
acoustics of its concert hall are
considered one of the three best
in the world. In the building are
performed production musical or
opera, ballet and theater plays.
This building was opened in
1973. More than eight million
people visit the site each year.

Edinburgh is the capital city of
Scotland and it is the second
most populous city in Scotland.
Edinburgh Castle. It is a historic
fortress with dominates the
skyline osf the city Edinburgh.
Each year the approximate
number of visitors is 2.2 million
people. It was opened in 1927
by the Prince of Wiles.

 Dubai is located in the Arabian
dessert. The city has a lot of
moder buildings and is the most
populous city in UAE.
The Burj Khalifa is the tallest
skyscraper around the world.
Burj Khalifa was desgined by
Adrian Smith and the building
has received many awards.
Outsida was designed a
fountain system.

When you finish your work, send the file to your instructor through the platform
