SAMPLE ANSWER (STRATEGY)

The government of country X could create a National Family Planning Campaign. This
campaign would include a variety of activities, such as running advertisements with jingles on
television and radio stations to emphasize the importance of family planning. It will also include,
hosting talk shows on the topic and visiting communities to issue contraceptives to citizens. The
government could recruit members of the population to assist with the campaign while giving
them the opportunity to earn money from it.

JUSTIFICATION OF STRATEGY
dii) Explain Fully, why each strategy suggested in (di) above should be considered.
The National Family Planning Campaign should be considered, as activities such as using
television and radio stations provide a platform for reaching a large number of people in the
population in order to build awareness, expose them to relevant information and serve as a
constant reminder. Organizing community visits will play a role in the reduction of pregnancies,
and therefore reducing population growth since citizens will have access to free contraceptives
which they can use, while reducing financial pressure to purchase these items.
