System Description A ‘The Screens shall be complete operable equipment and shall meet the duty requirements shown on the Technical Data Sheets. ‘The Screens shall be designed to suit the following general requirements: 4. The Supplier shall accept full responsibility for the complete design and materials of ‘construction for the Screens and associated equipment supplied. It is not intended that the ‘Supplier depart from his standard design. 2. Supplier's standard with a proven track record in similar installation 3. Factors used in calculations for design of equipment shall be selected on the basis that the Buyer intends to operate, service, repair, replace damaged parts, replace wearing parts and maintain the equipment in accordance with the Supplier's recommendations for at least 26 years, 4. Operation in a typical mineral processing plant that is subject to hose-down cleanup work ‘The equipment will operate outdoors in a continuous duty unless specified otherwise. The ambient temperature and conditions are as stated in A2ULPVDC-DC-0000-+306-001, Design Cirteria, Geoaraphic, Climatic and SeismicGeneral Site Conditions. 5. Seismic loads in accordance with the codes as specified in the General Site Conditions, when fully loaded. The Technical Data Sheets show PRESENT capacity requirements for an 18 ktpd mine plant. in addition, the datasheets show FUTURE capacity requirements when the mine is expanded to 24 ktpd. The proposed equipment must be optimized to 24ktpd and be capable of handling the 18ktpd capacity. 1.4 Submittals ‘A. Buyer reserves the right to witness any manufacturing shop tests or inspections to ensure ‘components conform to quality assurance requirements. Supplier shall notify Buyer in advance of all tests and grant free acess to manufacturing facilities, including sub- suppliers, for such inspections, 3. Drawing and document lists submitted by Supplier under Attachment 2 shall be complete, covering design and manufacturing including quality assurance, testing and preparation for shipping. Quality assurance shall include procedures for deficiency evaluation and correction. 4. Manufacturing shop inspection reports shall be made available to Buyer for review. Defects in excess of agreed acceptance criteria shall be reported immediately to Buyer and evaluated by Supplier's engineering departments for possible corrective actions. Corrective actions proposed shall be subject to Buyer approval. 6. After award of a Purchase Order, Supplier shall not substitute major component sub- suppliers without Buyer's approval B. Qualifications 4. Supplier shall provide an experienced project team of competent personnel who are ‘working under direct supervision of a full time project manager, supported by a full time engineering manager, who carries total responsibility for all aspects of the work. All key people shall be subject to approval of the Buyer. ‘Supplier shall supply, on request, the current qualifications and experience of the following personnel on staff or with sub-suppliers; project manager, design engineers, stress analysts, quality control engineers, NDE technologists, welders, and field erection representatives. 3. PRODUCTS 24 General A ‘Components and equipment shall be designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with this specification, Section 1.1.C Related Specifications and attachments, ‘The equipment shall be new and shall be the supplier's standard heavy duty design, 2.2 Equipment and Components A Vibrating deck support frames shall be of bolted or welded construction. Welded deck frames shall be fully stress relieved. Fabricated deck frames shall be shop welded and field bolted as required for assembly and erection. Vibrating deck support frames shall be designed for suitable rigidity and ease of deck replacement. Wear resistant rubber buffer strips shall be provided on support frames to cushion screen decks. (if applicable) ‘The screens shall be supplied with polyurethane screen panels, stringers, and side wear plates. Screen deck panels shall be of the same size and interchangeable for each application. Deck clamping and tensioning arrangements shall be arranged for convenient and safe screen deck maintenance. Screens shall have wear resistant back plates and discharge lips at each deck. Back plates shall be removable at lower screen decks. ‘The screens shall include feed boxes and-discharge-chutes-and discharge undersize/oversize ‘chutes and shall be rubber-lined with rubber or polyurethane for abrasion resistance. Screens shi Abrasion resistant and readily replaceable liner piece shall be fitted to protect screen structural elements. The maximum weight of an individual liner piece shall be 35 kg, ‘The vibrating mechanism shall be totally enclosed and arranged for convenient inspection and replacement ‘The screens (where applicable) shall be equipped with integral spray bars, nozzles and mounting brackets.
