The giant among aquarium external canister filters provides you with crystal clear and biologically perfect water. Apart from its extremely large filter and canister volume, it has two patented EHEIM features. In order to avoid the problem of dead water it has two inlets and one outlet. Also it has an easily accessible pre-filter which allows you to remove heavy dirt particles collected in the pre-filter without disturbing the main biological media, thus allowing extra long intervals between cleaning.

The practical and compact internal power filter. The unique design allows the filter cartridge casing to be easily removed for cleaning, leaving the filter housing attached in the aquarium.

Along with all the well-known, tried and tested mechanical features of EHEIM filters, the microprocessor controlled electronics offer a range of exciting unique features to control the functioning of the filter.

Our filter media have several functions. They trap dirt particles and smaller suspended particles or else they biologically clean or chemically change the aquarium water. A brand new more efficient form of bio-filtration: SUBSTRATpro Anti-blocking, pearl-shaped filter medium made from sintered glass for more effective water throughflow and micro-pores for faster bacteria colonisation and faster decomposition of harmful toxins therefore more efficient due to longer intervals between cleaning. Inert and will not alter chemical composition of water or deter bacterial growth. Non abrasive, washable and reusable. Coarse and fine filter pads optimally shaped for EHEIM filters and with more effective foam structure than other makes of pads.
