To express
similarity
Use as ... as with an adjective to indicate how two things are equal or the same. Use
the adverb just for emphasis.
The new printer is as fast as the old one. (The new and the old printer are both fast.)
The PH computers are just as good as the DL. (Both computers are good.)
Use the adverb almost in affirmative sentences to indicate that two things are very
similar but not exactly the same.
The CR laptop is almost as expensive as the PA laptop. (The PA laptop is a little more
expensive than the CR laptop.)

To express
difference
Use not as … as to indicate how two things are different. Use not quite when the
difference is very small. Use not nearly to indicate that there’s a big difference.
My old computer isn’t as fast as the new one. (My new computer is faster than the old
one.)
The GL2016 cellphone isn’t quite as modern as the GL2018. (The GL2018 is more mod-
ern than the GL2016.)
Ultra webcam isn’t nearly as good as the Mega webcam. (The Mega webcam is much
better than the Ultra webcam.)
The old speakers were great. But the new ones are just as good. (=just as good as the
old ones)
Have you seen Pam’s new keyboard? My keyboard isn’t as nice. (=as nice as her
keyboard)
Practice. Write a sentence with as … as and the cue to compare the products.
1. The CVR joystick is easy to use. The JR joystick is also easy to use. (just)

Uses of the Internet in our daily life is depending on desires and goals. Activities in our
daily life are decided after the use of Internet. Internet innovated our daily life. We spend
lots of time on the Web.
Positive use of the Internet makes our lives easy and simple. The Internet provides us
useful data, information, and knowledge for the personal, social and economic
development and it is up to us to use our time on the world wide web in a productive
manner. The Internet is a revolution in information technology.
While there are various uses of the Internet, you can use the internet for getting an
online education. You can use the Internet to promote your business online.
You can do online courses and improve your writing, communication, business and
online marketing skills. Online shopping, social media, emails, chatting are common
things that we do daily.

You are free to use the Internet. The Internet is a magical tool that will help you to be-
come successful in your career and business.
While the introduction of the Internet led to many benefits, unfortunately, it also came
with its own set of problems. Here are some examples: hackers, viruses, criminals, junk
e-mail, cyberbullying, identity thieves, etc.
Most significantly, these problems can negatively impact your security and privacy. So,
be alert and carefully when using the internet.
