COLLEGE PRACTICAL TRAINING (CPT)
This training is intended to provide practical exposure to the candidates who are undergoing
DGCA CAR 147 BASIC Mentioned in the cover pages.
This document provides evidence of practical exposure given to the holder of this logbook.
Practical training will be covered on a wide variety of aircraft based on the organization scope
of approval of DGCA CAR 145.
During CPT training, the demonstration/observation of the tasks will cover the aspects like:
● Servicing and ground handling
● System operations and indications
● Types of maintenance manuals and their usage
● Use of common tools, special tools and equipment
● Identification of the aircraft components and their locations, removal, fitment, adjustment
of components during removal/installation or inspection tasks
● Safety precautions like warning, cautions, notes related to a particular task
● 145 Maintenance processes and functioning of support department interfaces for
execution of the task
● Maintenance documentation for completion of task and record-keeping
Each student shall be assessed for their understanding of the practical tasks demonstrated/
observed either at the end of each Phase (if the training is conducted Phase wise) or at the end
of complete training duration, as per the procedures in the respective. An assessment is
successful when the student obtains minimum of 75% total marks. If the training is done in Phase
wise, both the Phase assessments are averaged and a minimum 75% total marks are required
for successful completion. The assessment questions and marks for the specific attributes shall
be recorded by the Practical assessor on the Assessment sheet/s which is part of the logbook.
The student shall be provided with a maximum of 03 opportunities of assessment;

Assessment, Resit 1 and Resit 2, same in each phase if the training is done Phase wise. The
assessment attempt shall be marked in the assessment sheet/s. For the trainings done in Phase
wise a summary sheet at the end of the logbook will provide the consolidated result summary of
both phases.
