SPIRITUALITY (meaning, method & success secrets) "HardIy one among thousands of men strives to reaIize Me; of those striving Yogis, again, some rare one, devoting himseIf excIusiveIy to Me, knows Me in reaIity." (GITA: Chapter VII, page 91 verse 3.)

n the nstitution of Spirituality we have to pass three exams of "Upasna, "Sadhna & "Aradhna. All three are compulsory. Let's understand these subjects briefly.
UPASNA- is a hindi word, means prayers, actually means sitting close. A normal human has limited abilities, and to walk or run at a speed of 100kms/miles per hour is impossible. But if we have to then we take shelter of someone who can run at 100km/miles/hr. So we surrender ourselves to Train, out speed becomes the speed of Train. A piece of wood is so simple that we kick it with leg, we take it in our hand, play with it, but when this wood surrenders itself to fire, it becomes fire itself, now don't dare to touch it, that wood piece is no more simple wood. When a poor girl marries a rich man, immediately she becomes rich, as she surrenders herself to the man. GOD is like that, in "Upasna we need to sit close to our Deity, We need to stick our minds with HM, need to surrender to HM. Then miracles will happen. "Sri Bhagavan said: The mind is restIess no doubt, and difficuIt to curb, Arjuna; but it can be brought under controI by repeated practice (of meditation) and by the exercise of dispassion, O son of Kunti." (Shrimadbhagwad GEETA, page 86, verse 35) Practically dhyan or detachment of mann from the carnal pleasure of senses is very difficult, next to impossible.Mann is like a free flowing river, you cannot suddenly stop a river. Then what should be done? Divert it instead of stopping it. When we fell on ground, we don't take help of air to get up, we take help of the same ground to get up and stand. Failures have the keys of success hidden in them. So e.g. if you are unable to detach you mind with any tasty food, then associate it with GOD, eat only after offering it to GOD, so that a divine feeling is associated with it and thus you think of HM even when you are enjoying it. This type of thought process, attaching all worldly things with GOD helps a lot and later you get detached. Like if we just think of lemon or tamarind or any very tasty food, our mouth starts secreting saliva. n the same way when we think of Almighty GOD, secretion of divinity starts in our minds & purifies. Whosoever offers Me with Iove a Ieaf, a fIower, a fruit or even water, I appear in person before that seIfIess devotee of sinIess mind, and deIightfuIIy partake of that articIe offered by him with Iove. Arjuna, whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer as obIation to the sacred fire, whatever you bestow as a gift, whatever you do by way of penance, do that as an offering to Me. With your mind thus estabIished in the Yoga of renunciation (offering of aII actions to Me), you wiII be freed from the bondage of action in the shape of good and eviI resuIts; thus freed from them, you wiII attain Me. (Shreemadbhagwad GEETA, page 112, verse 26-28) Hear, again, My supremeIy profound words, the esoteric of aII truths; as you are extremeIy dear to Me, therefore, I shaII give you this saIutary advice for your own good. Give your mind to Me, be devoted to Me, worship me and bow to Me. Doing so, you wiII come to Me aIone, I truIy promise you; for, you are exceptionaIIy dear to Me. Resigning aII your duties to Me, the aII-powerfuI and aII supporting Lord, take refuge in Me aIone; I shaII absoIve you of aII sins, worry not. (Shrimadbhagwad GEETA, page 200, verse 64-66)
SADHNA- is a hindi word, means get skilled. f we want to swim in water, we need to learn swimming first. Sadhna is a process of learning the art of swimming. We have to cross the sea of material world (which is full sufferings & pain), to reach GOD. Lack of knowing this art leads to drowning in "Vaasna/Sex, "Trishna/Attachment & "Ahankaar/Ego. There are 5 Karmendriya & 5 Gyaanendriya or 10 senses, wifes of "mann in our body. They keep on disguising Mann. Karmendriya SymboIized by Gyanendriya KnowIedge of Mouth Speaking Eyes Seeing Hands Grasping Ears Hearing Feet Moving Nose Smelling Genitals Procreation Tongue Taste Anus Elimination Skin Touch We need to control our senses to control "mann, and when "mann is controlled our "Buddhi will take charge and guide us the righteous path. As the wind carries away a boat upon the waters, even so of the senses moving among sense-objects, the one to which the mind is attached, takes away his discrimination. Therefore, Arjuna, he, whose senses are compIeteIy restrained from their objects, is said to have a stabIe mind. (Srimadbhagwad GEETA, page 47, verse 67-68) The senses are said to be greater than the body; but greater than the senses is the mind. Greater than the mind is the inteIIect; and what is greater than the inteIIect is He, the SeIf. (Shrimadbhagwad GEETA page58, verse 42) We need to be very Strict with our senses. Legs work hard, so they are stronger than our hands. We can write with Right/Left Hand because we have made right/left hand, practice every day to write beautiful alphabets. Practice makes one perfect. So process of learning and making ourselves a skilled, able person is called "Sadhna. Without it, it is impossible to achieve the AM. He who has mastered his senses, is excIusiveIy devoted to his practice and is fuII of faith, attains KnowIedge; having had the reveIation of Truth, he immediateIy attains supreme peace in the form of God-reaIization. (Srimadbhagwad GEETA, page 68, verse 39) The Karmayogi, who has fuIIy conquered his mind and mastered his senses, whose heart is pure, and who has identified himseIf with the SeIf of aII beings (viz., God), remains untainted, even though performing action.(Srimadbhagwad GEETA, page 71, verse 7)
ARAADHNA- is a hindi word, means selfless service. GOD is omnipresent, this whole world is the body of GOD, and we need to serve this world, in order to serve HM. I am equaIIy present in aII beings; there is none hatefuI or dear to Me. They, however, who devoutIy worship Me abide in Me; and I too stand reveaIed to them. (Shrimadbhagwad GEETA, page113, verse 29) Arjuna, I am the universaI SeIf seated in the hearts of aII beings; so, I aIone am the beginning, the middIe and aIso the end of aII beings. (Shrimadbhagwad GEETA, page119, verse 20) It is I who remain seated in the heart of aII creatures as the inner controIIer of aII; (Shrimadbhagwad GEETA, page 167/168, verse 15) We need to return the uncountable services; we have received, in our past lives as well as this life by our selfless services. Like Trees serve us with delicious fruits, purify atmospheric carbon dioxide and provide us pure oxygenated air to live, give us their wood for yagya/hawan. Wood is used to make chair, bed, paper, rubber and so many things of daily use. At end a hindu need wood to burn their dead bodies. So in the same way, we need to purify the environment with our auspicious thoughts and serve everyone (GOD) with Selfless Love.
Without winning 3 enemies, we cannot pass these 3 subjects. Many in this world are unable conquer their sex desires and passions, those who win, are great but they find it very difficult to conquer their greed for worldly things and attachments, those who win both, are really very rare and respectful, but the third enemy is a tough one. Those who win first two enemies are defeated by the third. Mann who is the husband/lord of 10 ndriya, want fame, praises, and it is very difficult to deprive mann from narcissism and egoism. UnconditionaI Iove "Bhakti" with GOD can conquer it.
Sri Bhagavan said : This form of Mine (with four-arms) which you have just seen, is exceedingIy difficuIt to behoId. Even the gods are aIways eager to see this form. Neither by study of the Vedas nor by penance, nor again by charity, nor even by rituaIs can I be seen in this form (with four-arms) as you have seen Me. Through singIe-minded devotion, however, I can be seen in this form (with four-arms), nay, known in essence and even entered into, O vaIiant Arjuna. (Srimadbhagvad GEETA, page 140, verse
