    IfGuillainBarrsyndromehasoccurredwithin6weeksofreceiptofapriorinfluenzavaccine,the decisiontogiveFLUARIXshouldbebasedonpotentialbenefitsandrisks. Patientswithbleedingdisorders. Donotusetheprefilledsyringesinlatexsensitiveindividuals. AdverseReactions:Inadults,themostcommon(10%)localandgeneraladverseeventswerepainand rednessattheinjectionsite,muscleaches,fatigue,andheadache. Immune system disorders are not contraindicated in influenza vaccination. Patients however must be advised of possible suboptimal response to vaccination due to impairedimmunestatus.Nonetheless,protectionfromvaccinesmaybehelpful. Medications a. Patientsreceivinganykindofmedicationincludingantibioticscanreceivethevaccine. b. Othervaccinesgivenpriorto,simultaneouswithoraftertheinfluenzavaccinearenot contraindicated.

    3. Predominantcirculatinginfluenzastrainsvaryfromyeartoyearandsodoesvaccinecontent. PEDIATRICDOSING 6mos35months:0.25ml(discardexcessvaccineuptothelineindicatorinthesyringe) 36months:0.5ml NOTE: Children<9yearsofagepreviouslyunvaccinatedorvaccinatedforthefirsttimelastseasonwith onlyonedoseshouldreceivetwodoses;eachdoseisadministeredatleast4weeksapart. Children <9 years of age previously vaccinated with 2 doses of any influenza vaccine should receiveonlyonedosefortheyear. Children9yearsofageandolderreceiveonlyonedosefortheyear.
