spread it on the ground. Then, he climbed onto the sheet and pretended to weigh down the
cloud with his immense wisdom!

The king, realizing the absurdity of the situation, burst out laughing. He saw through Abu
Nawas' act but also recognized the clever mockery of his own challenge. While Abu Nawas
technically didn't win the contest, he exposed the king's foolishness and made a point that
resonated with the court.
