Tips
大學四年1，是人生中最美好、個人成長最豐盛的一段時光。
選「對」了主修科目，每天都會充滿動力，帶著笑容走進課室！
不過大學課程選擇繁多，單是由中大提供的本科課程，就有接近七十個！
同學面對選科這個重要關頭，該如何做決定？每次拜訪中學，
跟學生和老師見面，都會被問及選科有關的策略。
不如讓我在此自問自答，給大家一些意見。

Q: 最近幾年，最hot（熱門）的課程是甚麼？
A: 選科切忌追潮流，今天炙手可熱的，說不定四年後當你畢業時會大幅降
溫。選科的首要考慮，應該是個人的興趣，修讀自己喜歡的科目，自然倍添
動力，保證未來四年都是愉快而充實的。另方面，可以自己的夢想出發，然
後追求相關的知識幫助實現夢想。例如你對氣候問題有抱負，那麼地球與
環境科學及計算數據科學等都值得探索。
Q: 哪些課程的就業前景最理想？
A: 與上題相若，選擇自己有興趣和抱負的學科，對未來就業才最有保證！
許多同學認為主修與未來職業有必然的對應性，但事實並不盡然。例如有
志晉身投資銀行，選讀計量金融學／計量金融學及風險管理科學等學科是
極佳的選擇。但原來投資銀行除商學院學生之外，同時對工程、理學，甚至
與金融表面無關的本科畢業生亦深感興趣。過去，就有分子生物技術學
(理學其中一個主修課程) 或英文系畢業生獲國際知名投行聘請。
當然，如果你矢志要投身某些專業，取得相關學位是必須的，例如法學士、
內外全科醫學士、專業會計學或教育學院課程等等。
Q: 我對某個學科範圍感興趣，但不了解個別主修的詳情，
我該如何填報志願？
A: 參與中大資訊日，與不同課程的教授和同學交流，是認識各個課程的最
佳方法！此外，請不時瀏覽各學院及課程的網站，查閱相關的內容。你亦可
以向中學老師及已升讀大學的師兄師姐詢問意見。他們的第一身經驗、中
肯持平的分享，我認為是最好的參考。
同時，中大提供大類招生(Broad-based)課程，包括工商管理學士綜合課
程、理學和社會科學，能讓同學通過精心設計的全面教育及個人化的輔
導深入認識各個專科，然後按興趣和就業路向，選定自己的主修或專項
(concentration)。
註：
1. 個別課程修業年期可能需要五或六年，例如內外全科醫學士通常需要就讀六年。
2. 在此以JUPAS聯招申請為例子。中大亦歡迎持香港中學文憑試以外學歷者申請，詳情可參考中大入學處網頁：admission.cuhk.edu.hk
Q: 如何能提高成功獲錄取的機會2？
A: 首先，同學可以參考本港大學各個課程歷年收生成績中位數、上四分位
數及下四分位數，以衡量個人預計成績的競爭力。這些資訊通常能在大學
網頁、聯招官方網站及其他教育機構中找到。

此外，同學應細閱心儀課程的收生要求，包括計分方法、科目加權等。個別
課程或會要求同學具備某些科目的考試成績，例如數學精研、計算機科學
與工程、人工智能：系統與科技等，便要求文憑試M1、M2或STEM類科目成
績。許多課程會有入學面試安排，有志修讀的同學必須注意。一般而言，面
試評分雖不比考試成績所佔比重為高，但仍足以提高成功入讀的機會！
Q: 那麼，入學面試中有甚麼地方需要注意？
A: 過去數年在疫情之下，入學面試多數以網上模式（包括Zoom）進行。隨
著疫情漸趨穩定，相信未來將逐步回復實體、面對面模式。但同學可以同時
為兩種模式早作準備，例如預早準備器材及注意網絡的狀況。部分課程慣
以一對一形式，亦有不少課程選擇以小組（四至六位同學一組）形式進行面
試，同學平日不妨邀請幾位朋友，私下進行模擬練習。
面試的「必殺技」是真誠和熱忱。假如你能在面試中真情流露，表現你對學
科的熱誠，教授們必然動容。學生的正面態度與勤奮，在教授眼中，遠遠比
相關的專業知識重要得多！
