Kids at school throughout the years either liked her or thought she was a loon because the Uncle she was closest too was in Prison for the murder of a 7 year old girl that he did not commit. She was teased, but learned to ignore it for the most part. Her life was slowly spiraling downwards after her younger sister Haley is killed by a drunk driver on her way home from dance class. Haley and Rachel were very close, which resulted ins ome severe depression on Rachel's part. Students were still teasing her about her uncle and a couple even had the nads to harass her over Haley's death. Desperate and confused, Haley resorted wallowing in self-pity and skipping school for a couple weeks. After that, she decides to go back but with a plan. During lunch, rachel sneaks off to the girls bathroom where she decides to cut both her wrists and down a bottle of sleeping pills with a half bottle of rum. Three minutes later and a student comes across Rachel's lifeless body and gets a teacher...who calls 911. After a few days in the hospital, rachel is sent to willow springs psychiatric hospital. --------------Story opens with Rachel laying in her bed doing nothing. She has been like this for two weeks and her Mom was fed up with it. After nearly 2 hours of comforting and convinving, Rachel decides to go back to school.
