Electrical motor power: | 1 kW. 2. SAFETY ASPECTS 2.1 SAFETY MEASURES AND RISKS DURING MAINTENANCE. rs * Maintenance, repair, inspection, checking for malfunctioning or removal of parts is only ™ allowed when the electric supply has been switched off and when all drives, pumps etc. are stopped. Tum the main switch (figure 2.1, pos 4) in the “off position” on the electric contro! panel. Turn the maintenance switch in place in the "off position" (when applicable). © Secure the main switch (figure 2.1, pos 4) against incompetent switch on! Figure All persons who are working on the machine must have their own padlock with matching ‘ key to lock the main switch (figure 2.1, pos 4) in a “safe position”. Only when all padlocks ~ are removed from the main switch, the machine can be switched on again. Padlock is no Redox delivery. * To operate separate motors / pumps the below measures has to be taken: - Tum the service key switch on. - Press button “Start process” - Tum the motor in the position "Hand". - Attention! The motor is not secured when it's in the “Hand” position. R ox Project ARIZTIA Arica OnW: 1188423 Code: 3. DIRECTIONS FOR USE 3.1 START UP // TIMER ADJUSTMENTS / ADJUSTMENTS. Before taking the polyelectrolyte make-up unit in operation, the below mentioned works have to be done. Check the rotating direction of the mixer(-s) in the polyelectrolyte make-up unit: Let a second person turn the maintenance switch of the pump in the position “manual” and afterwards off again The rotating direction must be clock-wise seen from above. * Check the function of the polyelectrolyte make-up unit according to the manual. * Ingeneral a solution of 0, 11% is used. - For further information see manual of the poly electrolyte make-up unit in the manual index and the advices from the poly electrolyte OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS POLYTECH PREPARATION UNIT POLYELECTROLITE 1000 LITER AXFLOW BV P.O. Our guarantee is conditional upon the equipment being treated in accordance with the instructions, To avoid errors please refer to the order number when corresponding with us. The guarantee period is 1 year from the date of delivery. All parts, damaged during the guarantee pe- riod due to faulty construction during normal operation will be repaired free of charge or replaced by parts from our works at our costs (by our choice). Defects shall be reported in writing, In case replacement or repair of defect parts by our mechanical engineer is required, the current costs will be charged. All replaced parts will become our propery. ‘The guarantee excludes normal wear and damage caused by improper handling or use of unsuitable process materials, Repairs during the guarantee period of the pump, including separate parts, may only take place with our permission. We recommend to send for one of our mechanical engineers in case of major failures. Repairs or modifications made by the purchaser or third parties without our permission will void the guarantee. For parts not manufactured by us — especially electrical parts — our liability shall be limited to the guarantee from our suppliers. Guarantee will not be extended or renewed after modifications of replacements. Defects caused beyond our fault, e.g. defects caused by failing to follow the instructions, faulty operation, use of unsuitable chemicals, etc. will be corrected by us on the purchaser's request at the current prices and service charges. For other sales conditions, we refer to the conditions filed at the “Griffie van de Arrondissementsrechtbank te Zwolle" dated. 01.01.1993 file D2/93 and the chamber of commerce at Lelystad Page 4 of 17 INTRODUCTION ‘The preparation unit for polyelectrolite is designed for the automatic preparation of polyelectrolite solu- tions by means of polyelectrolite powder and water. The unit consists of the following main components: 1. Preparation tank consisting of 3 compartments (2 compartments for Polytech 500) Water supply panel ‘Screw feeder Wetting unit Storage hopper polyelectrolte powder Drain and dosing lines Control panel ‘The polyelectrolite powder is wetted by the wetting unit, and is dosed into the first compartment of the tank. The wetted polyelectrolite is mixed intensively by means of a high-speed mixer and diluted to the required concentration. Once the first compartment is completely filed, the prepared polyelectrolite flows into the second compartment, in which the ageing process takes place. A low-speed mixer on the second compartment stirs the polyelectrolite. Once the second compartment is completely filed, the aged polyelectrolite flows into the third compartment (the dosing compartment). A level measure~ ‘ment on the third compartment monitors the process. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION = General technical data Power 400 +N [ VAC _(Sph +N S0Hz) Max. consumed power 15 KW.
