Action verbs

Action verbs is a verb, that expresses something


that a person, animal, object or process in nature is
doing
Such as a storm can do rather than expressing a
state of being
Action verbs includes
Go- talk –study- clean -visit -eat –clean- do- climb

Non action verbs have categories


Sense verbs is related to five senses
Look sight
Sound hearing
Smell smell
Taste taste
Feel touch

Possession verbs
Have –own
Emotion
Like –love
Mental state
Know
Other verbs
Cost
Differences
1-Canela is cleaning her house quickly
Ana dances beautifully
Action verb –take simple and progressive forms

2-francisco likes his new place


Mei ling has two pets
Non action verb –takes only simple form

Those verbs are modifying the verb, we can say that
action verbs are modified by adverbs and non-
action verbs are modified by adjectives
Be careful adjectives are only used when we have
verbs such as taste or smell that are sensing verbs
My sister is tasting (taste) the food over there
We are using taste in a ing form because taste can
have two different meaning
