Following the information acquired in topic about what International Education is about, do a searching
about an international exchange has been done, is being done, is done or will be done in a school in your
city or the school you work or are working at the moment.

Speak about the programme they use, the way they do. etc., and don´t forget to give your opinion, if
you think is positive or negative for students… .

Don´t forget to use Callibri 12 and the format PDF. Write between 450-500 words.

APA rules are compulsory to be used. (Bibliography and references)

The center of my city opted for this recognition in the 2018-19 academic year and since then it
has been an "eTwinning center" and works both from Primary to Secondary. This meant having
fulfilled a series of requirements, including having a team of teachers collaborating on activities,
demonstrating that online safety is being worked on or that at least two groups of students
have participated in projects, among other aspects.

This school work with Guilford that since he left Europe, cannot do an exchange but they
continue to work with them; Christmas cards are sent and through that platform they give it
visibility.

As I said before they works by projects, for instance now they are working with the Christmas
unit. The teacher has to describe the project on the page, the objetives, the contents and then
the activities they are doing.

How they do it?

The time is variable, it depends of the programation that teacher want, the activity...it could be
about a unit, or a term dependeing of the actividy.

Now, for instance they are working with videollamada with video call, they are sharing
activities, viewing the content and even working together on an activity. They sharing opinions,
discuss about their points of views and so on.

They try that the activities are collaborative and not only about a subjetc, they try to get
involved in more than one subject. For example in my case, I´m a music teacher, I may do a
project about creating diffrent instruments, and with this activity the Arts teacher is involucrate
too.

Personally I think that it is something very positive for the student and also for the teacher
because he is the one who will help the student to improve himself, find his good points and
that others also recognize his effort.

It is also interesting because of the interest in meeting new classmates through whom you can
talk via video call, have electronic contact and thus help the shy child to express himself and get
closer to other students.

Another aspect that should be emphasized is that there is a significant improvement in digital
competence, which helps students in their daily lives. Although it is true that nowdays, many of
them use it perfectly.

And finally on the one hand, eTwinning projects motivate students, making them part of
something innovative and capable of provoking their enthusiasm.

And last but no least, teachers are the other big beneficiaries of eTwinning, as it offers them the
opportunity to meet other European teachers and exchange pedagogical ideas with each other,
allowing them to improve their own teaching methods by comparing and applying different
approaches, or simply broadening their knowledge, in a particular topic or field.
