What we do

Thrift Store The thrift store is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Proceeds pay for administration, operating expenses, job training, and help toward the Resource Ministry expenses. Resource Ministry Hope Center Resource Ministries has a unique strength-based approach. We begin with looking at the assets a person brings with them. We stand firmly in the core belief that every individual has special gifts and talents. And every person, despite whatever unique circumstances they face, has limitless worth and value in the eyes of God. The specific facets of the Resource Ministry include: SEP Program: builds relationship, confidence and skills by giving participants the opportunity to work in exchange for assistance Relief: Provides emergency funding Development: Assesses a persons and abilities in order that the participant may use these to help themselves. The Hope Center may pay outstanding bills of a participant in exchange for working in the thrift store. The program includes working and may also include job training, counseling, mentoring, recovery, or tutoring. Counseling: We offer Biblical counseling to those who are struggling.

Recovery Hope Center offers a program called Celebrate Recovery. Similar to the 12step program of A.A., Celebrate Recovery is a 12-step program based on the beatitudes of Christ as he explained during his most famous message, The Sermon on the Mount. This program emphasizes personal responsibility and utilizes biblical truth.
