(December 1, 2011, New York) Edgar Perez will lead The Speed Traders Workshop 2012: How High Frequency
Traders Leverage ProIitable Strategies to Find Alpha in Equities, Options, Futures and FX
(http://www.thespeedtradersworkshop.com), in Jakarta, Indonesia, June 13, 2012. Mr. Perez, author oI The Speed
Traders, An Insider's Look at the New High-Frequency Trading Phenomenon That is TransIorming the Investing
World (http://www.thespeedtraders.com), will reveal at The Speed Traders Workshop 2012 Jakarta how high-
Irequency trading players are succeeding in the global markets and driving the development oI algorithmic trading at

Indonesia was the country hardest hit by the Asian Iinancial crisis oI 199798. Against the US dollar, the rupiah
dropped Irom about Rp. 2,600 to a low point oI 14,000, and the economy shrank by 13.7. The Rupiah stabilized in
the Rp. 8,000 to 10,000 range and a slow but signiIicant economic recovery has ensued. However, political instability,
slow economic reIorm, and corruption slowed the recovery. Nevertheless, GDP growth averaged 5 between 2004
and 2006. The growth, unIortunately, was not able to make a widely real impact toward unemployment and poverty,
particularly due to the stagnant wages and rapid hikes in Iood, oil and gas price. Since 2007, however, with the
improvement in banking sector and domestic consumption, the national economic growth has been 6 annually and
this helped the country weather the 20082009 global recession. As oI 2010, an estimated 13.3 oI the population
was living below poverty line, and the unemployment rate was 7.1. Conversely, according to Asia Wealth Report,
Indonesia has the highest growth rate oI High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) predicted among the 10 most Asian
economies. By 2015, Indonesia will have up to 99,000 wealthy individuals with total wealth $478 billion. HNWI
means individuals with $1 million or more in investable assets excluding their primary residence.

controversial Iorm oI investing today; in the name oI protecting the algorithms they have spent so much time
perIecting, speed traders almost never talk to the press and disclose as little as possible about how they operate. The
Speed Traders Workshop 2012 Jakarta will reveal how high-Irequency trading players are succeeding in the global
markets and driving the development oI algorithmic trading at breakneck speeds Irom the U.S. and Europe to India,
Singapore and Brazil.
