As a Greet Master it is my responsibility in particular (and
everybody's in general) to greet every member and guests,
which helps trigger positive conversation, connect with
people at a personal level and make everybody comfortable.

Timer
As a Timer, I will be helping the speakers practice expressing
a thought within a specific time. My duty is to time the
prepared speeches, Table Topics speeches, and Speech
Evaluations during this meeting. I will explain the timing
rules before every session and give my report when called
upon.

For prepared speeches: time is 5-7 minutes
The green light will be switched on at 5 minutes,
The yellow light will be switched on at 6 minutes and
The red light will be switched on at 7 minutes. The speaker
will have 30 seconds to finish up. The red light will stay on
till the speaker finishes.
For evaluators, the time is 2-3 minutes.
The green light – 2 minutes
The yellow light – 2 minutes and 30 seconds,
The red light – 3 minutes. Speaker has 30 seconds to finish.
For table topics, each speaker is encouraged to speak for 1 to
2 minutes.
The green light – 1 min, The yellow light –1 min 30 seconds,
The red light – 2 min. If you speak under time or over time
by more than 30 seconds, you will be disqualified.

Ah-Counter

My role as the Ah-Counter is to note any use of filler sounds
like ah, um or er used as a crutch during the meeting. I would
also note inappropriate interjections, such as and, well, but, so
and you know and give a report when called upon.

audience. Throughout the meeting, I will be recording any
factual, dated or miscellaneous information and will ask
questions at the end of the meeting.

My role as a Word Master is to pay attention to the use of
Word of the day. It helps us to enrich our vocabulary, so We
can have a vast array of words to use in our daily life and to
prepare our speeches.
