Introduction:
Inspired by the tranquility of traditional Japanese Zen gardens, this
project explores the fusion of artistry and engineering through the lens of
3D design using SolidWorks. The Zen garden features meticulously
crafted elements, including miniature raked gravel patterns, torii, circle
rake, a bench with a medication figure, carefully placed stones, and
minimalist architectural structures, all seamlessly integrated into a
harmonious composition. Through the use of SolidWorks, the project
showcases the intricate detailing and precision required to create a serene
and contemplative space in a virtual environment, inviting viewers to
experience a moment of calm and reflection.
Purpose:
Through this project, we aim to explore the convergence of ancient Zen
philosophy with modern digital design techniques. The project seeks to
evoke a sense of tranquility and mindfulness, showcasing how digital
tools can be used to create serene and harmonious virtual environments.
Additionally, the project aims to provide a calming experience for the
user, offering a virtual retreat from the stresses of daily life.
SDG(s):
1. SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities: By promoting the
design of harmonious environments, the project aligns with the goal of
creating sustainable, inclusive, safe, and resilient cities.
2. SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being: The project's aim to provide a
calming experience for users contributes to promoting mental health and
well-being.
3. SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: The use of
modern digital design techniques and tools like SolidWorks showcases
innovation in design and infrastructure development.
