NBA Finals 2011: Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks Game 1 Prediction
By Tom Loughrey (Analyst) on May 30, 2011
the 2011 NBA Finals are set to begin on Tuesday, and just like in 2006, the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks are the two teams that will be competing for the NBA championship. In 2006, Dwyane Wade led the Heat past Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavs in six games. Both teams have changed their rosters quite a bit since 2006, but the competitiveness of each game that year will likely carry over. Just like in 2006, Jason Terry is Robin to Dirk's Batman. Instead of having Shaquille O'Neal looming in his corner, Wade now his LeBron James and Chris Bosh on his side. There are many questions heading into the series. Can Dirk be stopped? Will LeBron or Dirk get his first title?
TV host KC Concepcion sheds tears after admitting on "The Buzz" that she and her boyfriend, actor Piolo Pascual, have already called it quits. MANILA, Philippines After evading the media for so long, television host KC Concepcion finally admitted that she and her boyfriend, actor Piolo Pascual, have called it quits. In a taped interview with The Buzz aired on Sunday, Concepcion tearfully admitted that she and Pascual have parted ways. Asked what was the reason for their break-up, Concepcion meaningfully said: May mga hinahanap ako na napakabasic lang na hanapin ng isang babae sa isang boyfriend, sa isang lalaki. Concepcion said she came to a point when she felt that she has already given too much and she got tired of always trying to understand Pascual. Concepcion, however, noted that its also partly her fault because she badly wanted their relationship to work. Gusto ko to eh di ba? At saka sobra sobra talaga akong nagtiwala sobra, she said while crying. Concepcion said she learned a lot about herself in her relationship with Pascual, but she has come to realize that it won't just work anymore even if she has given him several chances to make things right. She admitted she is mad right now but she refused to answer whether there is a third party. Asked what she thinks is her shortcoming in their relationship, Concepcion said: Masakit mang sabihin, hindi ako yung...siguro nag-fail din ako, dahil hindi ako yung kailangan niya sa buhay niya or hindi ako yung hinahanap niya sa buhay niya. While she declined to give a message to Pascual, Concepcion said she only has one wish, which is to find her one true love. Meanwhile, Megastar Sharon Cuneta said she believes her daughter will get through her problem. Cuneta also vowed to be by her daughters side every step of the way. It's not my relationship, they're adults na so they know how to handle what's coming their way. She's a strong girl, I think she knows now about the people she should value more now. If anything, this made KC and I closer than ever, she told ABS-CBN News.
On KC Concepcion's break-up confession: Piolo Pascual appeals for understanding, keeps mum
Published: Nov 29, 2011 - 8:20am
TV Patrol's "Star Patrol" segment reports that Piolo Pascual seems to be handling his break-up with KC Concepcion relatively well. In the wake of his ex-girlfriend's tearful interview on The Buzz on Sunday, November 27, Pascual simply said, "I don't think I have anything else to say. KC has already said her piece so (let's just leave it at that because) it's a very sensitive issue. Hindi naman biro ang pinagdaanan naming dalawa(What the two of us are going through isn't easy)." Pascual also asked the public to be more considerate. "Hindi madali ang proseso. Hindi rin madali na maraming nakaabang, maraming naghihintay at maraming nakikialam. Ang sa akin, hayaan na lang muna nila kami, especially si Kristina. (The process isn't easy. It's not easy when many people are watching us, waiting for us to do something, and meddling. So I think we need some space, expecially Kristina)," he explained. Many wonder why the public confession (KC Concepcion on her breakup with Piolo Pascual) had to take place. Some are all too sure that it was only for purposes of TV ratings, or to stir up enough interest to jump-start the careers involved. But it has gone much farther than that. Presumption seems to have become fact [since] delivery of highly ambiguous statements invites over-reading between the lines. When this happens, you will read what you want to read. If you loan your life to the public, as movie stars doand if the curiosity of the larger number of people become the fuel for your success, you might as well be doomed. You do not have a right to privacy, and people judge you not for what they see you do but what they speculate you are doing in the dark. In any case, this story doesnt end here. What should be more interesting is the damage control that is yet to take place and what are the repercussions of that public confession on the careers of the personalities involved and implicated.
Steven Paul Jobs (/dbz/; February 24, 1955 October 5, 2011) was an American businessman and inventor widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution.[4][5] He was cofounder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. Jobs was co-founder and previously served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios; he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, following the acquisition of Pixar by Disney. In the late 1970s, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak engineered one of the first commercially successful lines of personal computers, the Apple II series. Jobs directed its aesthetic design and marketing along with A.C. "Mike" Markkula, Jr. and others. In the early 1980s, Jobs was among the first to see the commercial potential of Xerox PARC's mousedriven graphical user interface, which led to the creation of the Apple Lisa (engineered by Ken Rothmuller and John Couch) and, one year later, creation of Apple employee Jef Raskin's Macintosh. After losing a
power struggle with the board of directors in 1985, Jobs left Apple and founded NeXT, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher-education and business markets. In 1986, he acquired the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm Ltd, which was spun off as Pixar Animation Studios.[6] He was credited in Toy Story(1995) as an executive producer. He remained CEO and majority shareholder at 50.1 percent until its acquisition by The Walt Disney Company in 2006,[7] making Jobs Disney's largest individual shareholder at seven percent and a member of Disney's Board of Directors.[8][9] In 1996, NeXT was acquired by Apple. The deal brought Jobs back to the company he co-founded, and provided Apple with the NeXTSTEP codebase, from which the Mac OS X was developed."[10] Jobs was named Apple advisor in 1996, interim CEO in 1997, and CEO from 2000 until his resignation. He oversaw the development of the iMac, iTunes, iPod, iPhone, and iPad and the company's Apple Retail Stores.[11] In 2003, Jobs was diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer. Though it was initially treated, Jobs reported of a hormone imbalance, underwent a liver transplant in 2009, and appeared progressively thinner as his health declined.[12] In August 2011, during his third medical leave, Jobs resigned as CEO, but continued to work for Apple as Chairman of the Board until his death. On October 5, 2011, he died in his Palo Alto home, aged 56. His death certificate listed respiratory arrest as the immediate cause of death, with "metastatic pancreas neuroendocrine tumor" as the underlying cause. His occupation was listed as "entrepreneur" in the "high tech" business.[13]
Without Steve Jobs I would have missed so many happy moments. He gave us these incredibly beautiful products and without them the world wouldn't be such a nice place. Thank you really much Mr. Jobs - you inspired me and just impressed me. Rest in Peace. Steve Jobs a true visionary: Steve Jobs was a true inspiration to all the people in the world who have a dream to change the world. We will never know how many world changers will emerge from his inspiration and the changes to the world he leaves behind. We never take into account how much of this world of technology he is responsible for. We all saw this information on some form of personal computing device that you made possible. Whether it was a Mac book, iMac, iPad, iPod, iPhone, Smart Phone, or a Personal Computer, it was Steve Jobs who paved the way for this to be possible. You will be missed by all and I hope the future of Apple continues to change the world the way you did. Rest in Peace

And the excitement doesn't end up there: husband and wife Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos, whose movies "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo" and "Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo" were the Festival Topgrosser during MMFF 2006 and MMFF 2007 respectively, are very much back in the festival with "My Househusband". Expect the toughest box-office battle this MMFF 2011. The 37th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2011) will run from December 25, 2011 to January 7, 2012. Here are the eight(8) MMFF 2011 Official Entries:

ANILA, Philippines - The list of the official entries in the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) was released on Thursday. The 7 films competing in the December festival are:
"Segunda Mano" "Panday 2" "My Househusband" "Enteng ng Ina Mo" "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" "Shake, Rattle and Roll 13" "Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story."
The "Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story" replaced the entry "Mr. Wong" after action star Robin Padilla voluntarily withdrew his film from the race. Movie producer Mother Lily Monteverde also pulled out her official entry, "Hototay," from the 2011 MMFF. According to Monteverde, she had to withdraw from the festival due to the health condition of the films lead actress, Nora Aunor. Aunor was recently diagnosed with pneumonia. Monteverde added that she doesnt want to sacrifice the quality of the film, considering that this would have been Aunors comeback movie. The festival is held during the Christmas holidays beginning Christmas Day. Foreign films are not shown during the festival, making it a lucrative event for the participating production outfits.
