Retracing Chapel Street. An exhibition documenting peoples memories of Salford Streets demolished on the 1950s and 60s. Open Thursdays 12 2pm at Chapel Gallery, Chapel St and Hope URC. White Cube. Throughout February Berlin based ar tist Antonia Low will be transforming the kitchen space at Chapel St and Hope URC into a visual diorama, using the kitchen hatch as a frame through which a perfect white cube will seem to glow. Winter Exhibitions
Milltown. An exhibition of photography and mixed media by Luke Cunningham, focusing on the decline of industrialism and our ever changing urban landscapes, and exploring issues relating to memory, history, cultural change and the notion of a landscape once littered with industry which has long since disappeared. Open Thursdays 12 2pm from Jan 12th at Chapel Gallery, Chapel St and Hope URC. Life and Times of a War Time Art Student. An exhibition of work by Kate Herber t, a working class girl from Lower Broughton, Salford, who realised her dreams and ambitions by passing a scholarship to Salford Ar t School, after her ar tistic ability was spotted by a teacher at the beginning of the Second World War. Work shown at Chapel St & Hope URC Thursdays 12-2pm, and Sundays 12-4pm February to April 2012, is part of a Salford Museum and Art Gallery exhibition.
