in Liebzieg, Germany, by e-mail. After three days the zirconium framework arrived back at the laboratory. It was checked for its precise fit and any minor alterations were then made before veneering with e.max Ceram porcelain. Multi-layering techniques were used to create the desired shape and contours from the diagnostic model. We corrected the midline discrepancy, maintaining the natural emergence profile. The ceramist used the diagnostics and the various photos given to aid the layering, before finally polishing and glazing the restorations (Figures 5a and 5b).

Final restorations

The finalised Straumann Zerion veneers and Straumann Zerion bridge were sent to the surgery to be fitted. The patient was provided with some completely natural looking and high quality restorations (Figure 6). Photos were taken after fitting the restorations and then again in two weeks once the gingiva had relaxed, revealing a natural emergence profile (Figure 7). The patient was more than happy with the results and all that was left for her to do was bleach her lower incisors. Figure 8a shows the patient before treatment; Figure 8b shows her with her new confident smile.
