This is contractual job primarily to set up a new plant for the manufacture of m etallic effect pigments involving latest manufacturing technologies. The new tec hnologies involve specialty pigment manufacture particularly for automotive, ink , plastics, and cosmetics.. Also involved with technological developments in the areas of non-ferrous Powder Metallurgy. Besides being responsible for the technologies for both pigments and metal powde rs, it has been also a responsibility to develop market for the new products bot h in the domestic as well as in the international sectors. The responsibility is also to be in liaise with Government authorities for envir onment, pollution, licensing, excise, and import-exports, ISO, SPC and TQM for m inimized defects. The responsibility is also for site development for greeneries and community wel lbeing. 2. United States Bronze Powders, Inc. (1997 - 2008): Overall responsibility for research and technological developments for the whole group of companies (US Bronze Powders, US Aluminum, Canbro Inc., Canada, Shamro ck Aluminum, Ireland & UK, Mekin Metal Powders, UK and Joint Ventures for the wo rldwide business in the areas of powder metallurgy and Powder Processing; pigmen ts for automotive, anticorrosive coatings, decorative and metallic ink. Responsible for:

Establishing corporate facilities for the product development to cater the globa l needs Constituting a stronger link between production, R&D and QC to minimise defects. Introducing newer technologies to facilitate cost advantages and high qu ality productions Responsible for the Technology transfer, Technical negotiations and Decision mak ing for the Process implementations for the Joint Ventures between Showa-Denko G roup of Chemical Companies in Japan and US Aluminum Inc. Strengthening Techno-Commercial links through Customers relations and building s tronger technical sales force. 3. ICI (1984 -1997) Ran global projects on emulsions, dispersions, coating agents, chemical additive s and fine particles Development of projects of strategic importance to meet the challenges for new products and new technologies and to participate in technolo gy transfer to other ICI members. Co-ordinated research programmes on New Product Development with other ICI famil ies, viz. ICI Australia, ICI South Africa, ICI USA and ICI India. Provided Science and Technology support to other ICI businesses. Co-ordinated ICI Academic Relations in North America for all ICI businesses. Conducted Graduate and Post Graduate Research programmes through the academic po sitions held at various Universities. Funds are mostly arranged either from the University Research Council or from the National Research Council being involved with the University of Quebec at Trois Rivieres, Trois Rivieres, Canada; Univer sity of Miami, Florida, USA; Radiation Lab, University of Notre Dame, Ind., USA and McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
