1. Results Of The Research
This activity was carried out by interviewing respondents, namely mothers. Interviews were
conducted at the homes of each randomly selected respondent. Respondents were given
several questions regarding their respective opinions on the kelulut bee. Then the respondents
were also asked about how much economic income was generated during one month in their
household and the question of how big the role of mothers was in making decisions in their
household.
After conducting research by interviewing respondents. Those included in the treatment group
will be given a package of stingless bees. For the control group, it is only used as reference data
for the study. The provision of stingless bee packages is intended as additional household
income for each respondent. The provision of stingless bee packages is carried out
independently and in groups, according to the wishes of the mothers themselves.
The researcher was Carlote and the data collection assistants were Reza, Panglima, Rizki, Anna
and Meisy. These assistants were tasked with collecting data from 300 mothers divided into 150
mothers as the treatment group and 150 mothers as the control group.
Then on June 4 - June 6, a check was carried out on the kelulut bee boxes that had been
installed for two weeks in each group. Then the installation of GPS points was carried out in each
group carried out by Mr. Budi and Mr. Khairil together with Rizki and Meisy.
2. Distribution Of Stingless Bee Packages
The provision of stingless bee packages and cultivation equipment is carried out by the BIB NGO
(Inti Borneo Biosphere), an institution that collaborates with GIZ. The distribution of stingless
bee packages and cultivation equipment and supplies is carried out directly during the stingless
bee cultivation training.
3. Constraints In Research
In this study, there were several obstacles that occurred during the research process and data
collection. The obstacle that greatly influenced data collection was the community's
understanding of the purpose of this research, there were several misunderstandings between
the research team and the community so that data collection was hampered. Then there were
some respondents or mothers who did not understand the purpose of the interview questions
so that the results obtained were not as expected by the researcher.
